Sadly, he doesn’t cut it.
The halfback in ANY team is always the one under pressure when the team is failing.
It seems we are the only club who doesn’t do something about it - no matter how long it drags on.
First thing I would do today is get on the phone to England and offer to pay whatever transfer fee they want to get Hastings here right ASAP.
It’s now just embarrassing watching Brooks flounder and drag the team down with him…. and even more embarrassing to be a supporter.
So rest of the team gets a pass?
No they don't ... in fact a few have already, deservedly, found themselves having a run in reggies.
You seemed to miss the point... Brooks is the MOST IMPORTANT player in the team and he's a dud.
Other clubs have no problem getting rid of their halfbacks as soon as they don't perform.
In the Roosters case they got rid of Pearce because someone better was available ... yet, here we are sitting on our hands forever.
I seriously don't think Madden is ready yet, or Walters is good enough, but the axe has to fall on Brooks.
Remember what he said, in his own words, ... "IT'S MY TEAM".
I’d argue the dummy half is the most important position on the field considering they get their hands on the pill the most
Would you say Simpkin’s service is first grade standard? coincidentally we looked better when Liddle was on
The money says the halfback is the most important position because it is.
Madden is still a kid with lots of upside, and, while I am a fan of Liddle, I could see why he was dropped.
Good to see him fight back. He's a first grader.
Doesn't change the fact we need our attack and direction to stem from the halfback - like all good teams do.
