Never plays well against the Eels. Legitimately looks scared of Paulo. Ran sideways all night and didn't take on the line when Paulo was in front of him. Fumbling and bumbling when he is around him.

And Moses just owns him. It's almost an abusive friendships.

Feel sorry for him watching him play the Eels.

Wasn’t it Paulo who he tackled and knocked the ball loose in the 2nd half?
Edit: it was Matterson my bad

I thought Brooks was let down massively by his team mates and actually looked better than Moses in the 1st half. The difference in sides showed in the 2nd half and there wasn’t particularly a lot he could do.

I wanted him gone but he's been one of the best for the last while.
At least mbye was a good Foil for him.
Can't expect too much from him when you've got a nuffie like Walters

LB played the best he could in a team that kept getting rorted by that pathetic ref and bunker.

Eventually it took us out of the fight....

If he keeps up his form, hopefully Hastings will partner him next year. Hastings’ strength is shifting the ball quickly, which is the role Mbye seems to be feeling.

Mbye’s future clouded and for whatever reason Madge won’t play AD in the halves. Hopefully we don’t see Walters in first grade again.

He was good but his kicking game last night was the “old brooks”. Bombs weren’t high enough or long enough to give us any chance.

Douhei looked half hearted in alot of things yesterday. His defence was atrocious. He’s either injured or wasn’t happy that he wasn’t playing 5/8 yesterday. Him moving to centre worked for one game. So confused also we aren’t utilising his big bombs which almost won us the game against the eels last time.

It was a result of our pack getting bashed / intimidated by a top 4 team, the last month we’ve been getting over the top in the forwards, I don’t think there was a lot that could have been done in yesterday’s circus

Swap the halves from both teams and it’s a similar result

His bombs in the opposition twenty that weren’t high enough or long enough has nothing to do with the forwards, it’s all on him. Those kicks were very disappointing.

…And that comes back to the aggressive nature of the Parramatta team compared to the other sides we’ve faced this last month. He had no cover and was getting put on his back side nearly every kick

Yesterday stood out like dogs balls that we still have a way to go in the forwards department.

Oh come on that is some insane bias right there. Moses ran rings around Brooks last night. He was sooo much better it's not even close!
Brooks kicking game was atrocious and he could barely create anything. If we ever put on pressure on them in a set, his kicks gave them relief.
Yes, the pack were useless, Liddle was terrible, but Brooks was awful.

You just know you couldn’t wait to stick the knife in after yesterday’s loss lol.

If you read my earlier post I mentioned I thought Brooks and Moses were about even in the 1st half, but Moses schooled him in the 2nd for obvious reasons.

Agree. I don’t think he’s comfortable out there.

If we can unlock the key to have both Brooks play well and AD play 6, we’ll be a better side IMO. I think AD is also better suited to defending closer in at 6.

Dude I gave him credit for last few weeks. He was our best player last week and I truly hoped he'd keep it up.

I am not after the guy, just calling it as it is. Anyone who calls out Brooks gets vilified here?
Grow up man.

Unfortunately Moses is twice the player Brooks will ever be .
Until the club sign top end 3/4 and 6 this conversation re Brooks will never end ..
I do not know where AD fits in this equation as he certainly is not a 6 /3/4 sorry to all the fan Boys .

I’m a big critic of Brooks but I thought he was quite good yesterday. The problem more was our backs are too slow and our forwards got rogered.

He tried hard yesterday but his kicking game sucked compared to previous weeks ..

He'll be free to play only a fine for his lift.

Playing with more effort, confidence and passion than I've seen him play with since 2018.

100%, his kicking isn’t up to par but his general play was pretty good I thought.
