1st for line engaged, he and AD only non top 8 halves in top 10 for TA's, Top 5 for kick metres.
If we made the 8, this thread doesnt exist. If we could defend, we are in the 8.

He’s had heaps of try assists this year off kicks ! What are you talking about? The lack of kicking yesterday , to me , appears to have been a tactic to nullify thier back 3 . Worked until they took hitups and ran at the middle third , and Walters’ arm grabbing and Tuki just bouncing off stronger more developed men .
Also we just haven’t figured out where the thresholds are with holding down in the ruck . Other teams have it sussed . We are either too long or short , every week . Seriously we have Gavin Badger , how is he not on top of this . I would make it his direct responsibility to get the ruck speed right .
The only kick he's got is the chip kick near the try line for Maumalo or Doueihi. He doesn't ***force repeat sets*** or set up tries with grubber, he doesn't kick 40/20's and his ***long kicking is just abysmal***. It's the biggest weakness in his game and in a league that relies on pressure and field position more and more every week it's costly
7th in the NRL for forced drop outs, 4th in the NRL for kick metres. He isnt God but this narrative that he is abysmal has no basis in reality (waiting for I see it with my own eyes and dont need stats...).
Kick metres don't mean anything, he doesn't find the grass! Kicks is straight down the throat of wingers and fullbacks, never kicks a 40/20, never kicks early to turn teams around just the same old kick straight to the winger
Can't remember the last time he forced a dropout. 7th is about right cause that's just average not the worst but not the best.
LOL . We are going around in circles . This has been disproved 3 times I think he last few hours , let alone how many in the last few years . If that’s what your going to use as ammunition, then I’d argue you are watching the games with a view for confirmation bias .
How has him having a poor long kicking game been disproved at all? Please enlighten me lol and no, kick metres doesn't mean he has a good long kicking game, it means he hasn't missed a game and does majority of our kicking.
It's clear as day to literally everyone except some tigers fans that brooks is not a game managing controlling halfback who can lead a team around. He's not a terrible player but lacks those important skills
Brooks must be paying some of these fan boys to go into bat for him ..

Why make comments like that ? Everyone has explained thier reasoning and backed it with evidence and hard facts , from what I can see . All I see in return is “BrOoKs IS CrAP” . His long kicking game sux- some replies with facts showing that he’s actually in the top 4 in kicking metrics .
His short kicking sux - someone replies with metrics that state he’s toward the top in repeat sets . He doesn’t create tries - someone replies with stats showing he’s towards the top in try assists . And on and on and on and on it goes .
I’ve said this before . It’s the fact that you associate him with mediocrity, and nothing to do with whether in fact it’s even remotely true .
And for that I understand it . But the moment people make comments about how he’s crap . Well that’s garbage and not true , and the facts and stats and eye test do not back any of those type of comments up.
