When we will start talking about Brooks replacement ...120 odd pages about someone that everyone accepts isn't going to make it as an NRL player

I did ...he said Billy is back in a few weeks ( I can't add the expletives he added in regards to Brooks )

Do you rate Billy higher because he could wear maroon one day ? I’ve noticed that a lot of your players you like tend to come from warmer climates ?

I'm just baiting Geo again ...but Billy is supposedly back in 2-3 weeks

But in all reality , Brooks hasn't improved on 2020 and if this continues throughout 2021 ...he has to go at seasons end .....and if Madge can't recognize that ...he needs to go as well

I’d argue the knights game was better than anything he produced in 2020, so on that basis he has improved and it’s only round 3

Especially that missed tackle that almost cost us the game ....excuses

No because they probably lead 46 -10 ...I'll give Brooks some leniency when he has us out by 40 ...even 20 ....doing the really important thing about being a playmaker

Madden is certainly the future of the Wests Tigers.

Perhaps but he’s still got a loooong way to go. I seem to recall him kicking a cross field kick into row Z on the weekend under zero pressure. If Brooks did that he’d be put in the stocks for a fortnight. Not to say he’s not a prospect but he’s well behind even L Brooks right now sad as that might be.

I think we saw what’s possible in round 3 in his combination with Doueihi, the beginning of something , along with Laurie and Liddle , if they can all get on the park each week ? Well who knows what could happen? We haven’t had spine stability and a strong forward pack , strong bench for such a long time?

I agree, and I'm trying to be unbiassed when I say that we can be the big improvers from the middle-bottom section of the current NRL table.

It will come down to the impact and consistency of the forwards though while those combinations take shape.

Before the trials started, I had Raiders and Panthers leading with Titans and Tigers as the big improvers, while Dragons and Manly battled for the spoon. So far only the Dragons have surprised me, but it’s early days and teams are developing their potential . Looks like the cowboys are in trouble, they’ve used 24 players already.

The dragons should be looking like improvers they’ve versed 2 teams who are contenders for the spoon and a knights side that lost key players through out the game. When they did come up against a half decent team in sharks look what happened

Yeah I’d agree context is king. 2 of the 3 games your talking about were against premiership contenders in some of the worst weather we’ve had with marquee men like Leilua and Mbye tearing it up.

Sorry mate I just can’t agree that it’s Brooks responsibility to make up the difference when players of that caliber and pay grade add absolutely nothing to the team. Not to mention the rest of the team not necessarily having the best of games. Agree to disagree I guess.

Those stats don't list kicking it dead for 7 tackle sets, kicking it out on the full from restarts or brain fades when he needs to make an attacking decision.
If they did you wouldn't want to look if you're pro Brooks.
Hopefully Douehi carries him and helps him lift today.
I don't think Brooks can get us to where we need to be... but I pray every week he turns it around.
Rather the team win than have to whinge about him all the time.

A marquee halfback in a premiership winning team? Which ever way you look at it, it’s still a team sport. When Rabbits made a record offer to Manly’s Matt Orford he turned down the offer stating his reason ‘he was only one man’.

That’s what very good halfbacks do. Brooks has yet to rise to that level.
