Another thing . You think he didn’t game mange , what were those bombs on thier 5m line the whole second half ? That’s game managing guys . I hate to break it to you . Win the field position game , and have them ruck it out for dirty metres everytime . And it lead to N exhausted cowboys team , which lead to 70-80m sets from us repeatedly.
Like what are you talking about ?

That literally makes no sense. Lost and "didn't win" are the same thing. Either it's his fault, or it isn't.

No there is a difference, sorry you don't see it.

Just one more time, so you can understand.

Lost = didn't win. On that I think we can agree (ignoring draws).

"It certainly wasn’t Brooks’ fault Wests Tigers lost that game"
"It certainly wasn’t Brooks’ fault Wests Tigers didn't win that game"

If Luke Brooks isn't responsible for losing, then he can't be simultaneously responsible for not winning. It's just not physically possible.

You just don’t get it and that’s OK.

Get what ? I think you don’t get it mate IMO. You’re highly emotional and tbh , associating last year with this year , and this unrealistic expectation that brooks has to win us every game . He didn’t get run around for the first try , he didn’t get run over for the third , he didn’t get out jumped for the 4th, nor did he drop the ball when we were on the attack several times .

From my understanding he did 2 things bad this game . He put in a shocking grubber on halfway , in a dismal attempt to shift the momentum , and drop the ball off the kickoff , which was a Feldt special . Did those plays win or lose us the game ? Hardly !

In fact I saw an engaged half all game , saving forward miss tackles , chasing line breaks others missed , kicking pretty well , creating a lot of opportunities . Oh but he didn’t pull out a miraculous win with 5 seconds to go , so it’s pitch fork time ? Seriously man

Since when did I associate last year with this year?

His kicking is too low, not enough height for the team to get there. An easy let off for the opposition. His placement is terrible as well.

He telegraphs his plays so badly a schoolboy can read it.

His defence is rock solid.

However he is as stale as, and had regressed greatly.

Take your Brooks coloured glasses off and see what is actually happening. He’s a below average half at the moment in a below average team. Wests Tigers will never be better than below average with Brooks at halfback. It’s a sad fact but true.

The best Brooks could do for himself and the club is leave. I have no doubt he will do well elsewhere. He won’t at the Wests Tigers, that ship has sailed.

Or maybe people think he needs a new environment.
His goose is cooked here, it’s not in him to handle the constant pressure.
If you feel sorry for him then just think about him counting his $900k every year while the supporters keep waiting for him to be worth that.

I believe he is a good player and good for WTs.

With the articles today and also the mystery surrounding the non appearance of our captain in the second half, I am forming the view WTs have a problem, but not with Brooks.

Our team is well below average, but Brooks won’t do well anywhere. He can’t possibly. He just isn’t good enough.
I’ve said it before, if you want him as your halfback, then you want him more than you want a winning team. The love affair is unhealthy.

Doueihis kicks are good but he can't be so reliant on them, eels quickly figured out the strategy was give it to Adam.

He’s played 150 games, surely it’s more than 2 effective kicks

2 effective kicks that lead to TRIES last 2 games will do every week..could have been 3 if Doueihi caught it when Fergo went on his gallop..

hmmmm. back to regular programming from Brooks

2 more this week..

good to see.. certainly sets the bar high doesn't he.

We need Alfie Longer to run the water for us if we want him to improve.

I know leading the NRL in TRY assists ..who'd of thought..

Tied with a guy who played 3 games and was injured in one of them.

A couple were actually closer to the line and yet still some that whinged about them being 10m out in past weeks still whine and say they should have been higher, even though the breeze would have risked 7 tackle sets and when he could hoist one high we got a result from it.

Plus he backed up through the middle on the early tackles when Liddle had forwards to feed.

Plus he controlled play and created the space for the Garner and Nofoaluma tries.

Plus he laid on kicks for two tries.

Plus he did other good things, yet still got criticism for playing his role well.

The scapegoating and vitriol against Luke Brooks is both naive and dangerous because it will only hide the unpalatable truth. The problems run much deeper than the halfback. Yes he has some significant shortcomings as a playmaker and game manager and this has been evident for some time. Get him some expert and proven coaching around him. Laurie Daly, Cooper Cronk, Andrew Johns .... The current problems at Wests Tigers are far more fundamental than Luke Brooks. It would help if forwards ran hard and fast at the opposition to make them be feared; it would help if the whole team tackled with some aggressive purpose; it would help if players didn't spill the ball regularly, drop bombs or forward pass from dummy half. Please be honest here. Removing Luke Brooks will NOT answer the fundamental problem of lack of onfield leadership, lack of onfield aggression and purpose, lack of go forward, lack of smarts, lack of skill and execution.
The whole team needs to take responsibility for such recent poor performances and stop reaching for the easy to shoot scapegoat in Luke Brooks.

Whatever man . Go back to hating on the halfback for not scoring off every play , not tackling people on the side of the field , not catching the ball on the other side of the field , getting run over through the centre of the field , giving bad service from dummy half , not moving up , and attacking through defence . Oh that’s right ........

Need a general . Stand up leader at 7... Brooks is not this type of player... his days are numbered for us at 7... 150 games to prove it. I see moses own that parra team. He is barking the whole time... we let the wrong guy go. I would go get hastings and move brooks to 9 jumper. He can run there and his defence is good. Brooks is not a 7...
