Went missing when the game was on the line. For a bloke who wants to be the main man and leader of the team he likes going into his shell in the big moments

Didn't find the grass once when we needed him to with his average kicking game. Our attack was completely unorganised and that's on him.

The bloke just isn't a leader, isn't a game manager and most important isn't a winner! Don't understand the clubs love for him. Solid player but he's not a dominant halfback regardless of who's around him. Good halfbacks take control of that game

Let him go next year, give Hastings a crack. He's vocal and has a good kicking game at least

I’ve done a lot of work for NRL players from different teams, and have been told by them that they would not join the tigers solely because of Madge.
The rumors are true, Madges reputation of players not wanting to work with him is a real thing.

Brooks' kicking game would not improve. His running game is average. What are you seeing? Really, what is it? He only plays well against bad teams and even then he's not consistent. This idea that'd his horrible playing style would work for a good team is baffling. Why do you think he was the only one who stayed out of the "big 4"?

IT WAS NOT LOYALTY. NO ONE WANTED HIM.

I’m seeing a club who has made terrible decisions, for years, I’m seeing a club that some how let’s all our great talent go, I’m seeing a club that has terrible off field leadership/recruitment/management, I’m seeing a club that is now the punchline of the NRL.
Regarding brooks.. I’m seeing a player who struggles with the negatives I mentioned above.. a player who hasn’t had a decent solid stable spine/forward pack, I’m seeing a player who kicks to the edges and our edge players literally look at each other, I’m seeing a player trying to gain momentum with the ball and passes to a player who than stops and looks around not knowing what to do with the ball, I see a player who is always strong on defense, I see a player trying to add pressure but has very little support, I see a player who really blossom in a club who has more stability.
This is just my opinion and I know many would disagree, but, we all do agree that over the past decade the West’s Tigers have continued to make terrible decisions, on and off the field, a lot would say Keeping brooks as our 7 is one of them bad decisions, however I just know if brooks had a decent stable coach, a decent big pack and a strong edge that all the little 1% stuff brooks does would pay off massively.

Then let him go for a better future for him, we have had enough of his football intelligence, even these young half backs comming thru make him look like he has dementia

He ran 85 metres after an obvious knock on just on the off chance the footy gods didn’t see it. 2nd time this season (similar to south’s game). He’s having a crack!

Give Madden 150 games and see how he goes, completely over brooks (cut the cord) if only for brooks to shine somewhere else as you say

Man, I agree, part of me wants to see him move on to have some success, in his case loyalty has been a demon for him.
In the past and even current, the top halves are not alone, they are surrounded by other great players, they are surrounded by players who have some level of X factor, Brooks hasnt had that luxury, he hasn’t had the luxury of a stable coaching system either.

But dumb is dumb no matter where you go to brooks cannot change that, over the years seen so many stupid mistakes under pressure, have always supported brooks but totally over him now. Just waiting for hastings to hopefully finally move him on

I’m also hopeful of Hastings.
But C’Mon man, when you under pressure, looking at teams who can produce brilliance out of various individual players on the oppsosition squad, and than look around at your guys and you see our roster, and think about the game plan the coach has set that obviously isn’t working, you can not tell me that, that would affect your game.
Team spirit is a thing, belief is a thing.
NRL is a sport ( like most ) where confidence is key, I watch every game and when I see the other team in our 20 I do not have confidence we can defend it, when we have the ball I do not have confidence our players can produce individual brilliance like a lot of other teams can.
Replace brooks with any other top halve… with our existing roster coaching staff, not much would change.
We need a strong game plan, we need a strong forward pack, we need relatable edges, we need a consistent spine.
We Havnt had that, and that’s what brooks has to work with.
The line drop out tonight… probably a coaching decision, and even so.. our edges just didn’t have the effort to get the ball.
That stuff wouldn’t happen on a team like Melbourne.

Have you noticed how much love J. Hastings has been showing AD on Twitter?

Outside looking in, it looks like he's very excited to play with AD next year.

Where there is smoke, there is fire.
This rumour won't go away.....
I gotta strange feeling Brooks is on the way out.

How many times does a coach say, "Yeah, Nah... not going anywhere" then a week later they're gone.

Interesting times a head.

Brooks will be here next year Demps.

Play him at 9

37 would be better ...behind the 6 rookies ....

I thought you were a lover these days ?

You meant Brooks or Hastings ...thought you wanted Wastings at 9 ......lifesize poster of Brooks arrived today ...Mrs is in the garage now

Nah I want brooks at 9

Liddle is slowly paying off ...we just need to find a way to get him on the front foot more often

Liddle is not an 80 min player we need simpkin on the bench

Been saying that for a few weeks now. Liddle to start and Simpkin off the bench is the way to go.

Nah I’d have brooks at 9 imo

Liddle’s service is horrendous.
How many times tonight did he get caught a dummy half with the ball ? 2-3 !

1 Laurie
6 Doueihi ( needs a heap of work)
7 Hasting ( prey he's the answer)
9 Brooks ( can defend and play 80)

They'd never want him. Their halfbacks can ice games and execute things - the opposite of brooks. The bloke doesn't know how to win games and take control
