To back up what I just said, Brent Read hit the nail on the head on triple M today. If the club is to stick with either Brooks or Maguire, the other should no longer continue at the club. Personally I’d like to see the back of both of them. Link below anyway

Ever since Maguire came in, Brooks has played probably his 3 worst seasons of his career. Lament Cleary all you want but he had Brooks firing in 2018 as he has done with his son the last 2 seasons. The Brooks/Maguire combination should finish up sooner rather than later

Not really true, He was our player of the year in 2019.

Brooks is just average is the problem. Not sure what he does at training to get coaches to love him so much but he's never proved anything on a footy field that shows him to be a dominant match winner.

Making him captain should be the final straw imo. Didn’t command the moment in anyway and barely made himself heard.

Brooksy is who he is. He plays the way he plays. Nothing will change it. He has improved so much this year. They started last night so well. Maybe we underestimate how important Daine Laurie is to our attack?! Ultimately it was one bad error out of a myriad of others that lost us tge game. I think they panicked and dont trust themselves enough or believe in themselves enough to win football games. He and Adam need to do better. Jock Madden should get a go too. Let's see what he has got. Last night was hard to watch. Sorry it happened.

MMMM, in Brooks hour of need where is the Luke Brooks Liberation Army? (LBLA thanks hobbo 1) Missing in action just like he was. Just like he always is. The LBLA should declare that they are either related to him or live in the same street. The only possible reason.

They wait for the 1 game in 4 where he has a good game.
And by "good" game, a not complete crap game, but still only average.

People been waiting 6 weeks to kick start this thread.

He was bad, Doueihi was worse, and Mbye is the worst.

Mbye was better than Brooks...that is how bad Brooks is/was.
Comparing him to Douehi is laughable.

The more he gets to play the more he thinks the coach
is ok with the CRAP he dishes out , week in week out.
BROOKS has to go.
Period.
His BRAIN-FARTS are fogging up his and the teams vision to move
forward.

Sad truth.
Loved watching the guy over the years... we invite these guys in our lives and get attached, in a way.

Brooks hasn't developed or improved how we all wished...

Cant remember who said it, maybe it was @GNR4LIFE

**Brooks should be Nathan Cleary like and Brian To'o is what Nofoaluma should've been...**

Not sure what's happened a long the way...
Or maybe I do?

- Coaching merry go round.
- Recruitment not team focused with a plan for success.
- Incompetent board.
- Friendship groups within the team ( Teddy x Moses x Brooks ) the Penrith model - not playing to their strengths and building around this to keep the boys together.
- Off field dramas.
This list goes on...

Imagine if we could've kept it all together

1 Teddy
2 Nofo
3 Suli
4 Douihei
5 Addo Carr
6 Brooks
7 Moses
8 Woods
9 Liddle
10 Stef
11 Luciano
12 Sironen
13 Nathan Brown

14 Twal
15 Tatola
16 Paseka
17 Ray Stone

Ahhhhh lament....

You're correct in saying that Brooks shouldve been the Nathan Cleary of the Wests Tigers and he was for a period there. But once his mates left he shouldve ,couldve but never did take the opportunity to take ownership as a dominating half and make himself a leader.
Alot of people say that he hasnt had players around him to play , he hasnt had the coach etc etc etc. But on the same token the club hasnt had other teams coaches knocking down the door at Wests Tigers asking for him to sign with them.

There’s already a West’s Tigers lament thread mate….

Remind us how we finished that year that Brooks was firing?

The LBA are all over the get rid of madge argument. But go all so quiet on brooks. Same story every year. We have a chance to make a run at finals. We all wait for our amazing half to stand up and as usual MIA. Enough is enough. It’s a massive problem when the best game you played was your debut and ten years later you still can’t better it.

brooks + captain + warriors = dud

zero leadership not many points. he played ok, just no points, no leadership.

Not captain, not a half, man of steel

dud
