This is how I see the situation. It's like we are big pile of you know what and focusing on Brooks to me completely misses the point.

It is also where we are at. We haven't made the finals for 10 years and that is the top 50% of teams.

But theres no quick fix . And guys like you always go for the quick fix , when it doesn’t work , we get another quick fix . And at no point is it ever fixed . Because quick fixes don’t fix anything . They’re just band aids until it falls apart again .

Maybe it’s people like you who are the problem . As soon as the seas get rough , you look around for someone to save you.
We only save ourselves . No one else will. The nrl/ fox want us gone to Perth . So the Cronulla boys club , and all these inferior clubs with no supporters , don’t have to face thier inevitable demise .

And that’s what we are swimming against . It comes up so often by key people in the know , that it’s not really a conspiracy .
So the only way to pull us though is to have the fortitude to deal with bad times like this .

The level of hysteria regarding the pitchforks brigade to "sack Brooks" shocks me.

I get the argument that he he has been here for 160 games and we are still missing finals football and I agree he hasnt magically evolved into A Johns and I also concede he hasnt been able to transform a useless team into regular top 4 team.

Trouble i have with the hysteria is ......replace him with whom? Hastings? Hastings is the man proven to be better? Really?

I have no problem replacing Brooks, if its with someone proven to be better. For all those saying "anything would be better, we need to start somewhere".....have you really thought that through? We are having a lot of trouble attracting players to the club according to the majority of bedwetters here. What do you think a potential marquee is looking for? He is looking for stability, he will want to know the coach and then I reckon the next would be the halfback. Sure you could argue Brooks might not be inspiring but I think having none or not knowing your halfback would be worse in attracting players.

Club has made the Finals 3 times in 20 years (With far better players in the Squad than Luke Brooks I might add)

My prediction is he will continue to play how he is now and in a team that doesn’t give up every other week that will be enough.
