Luke burt

i wish luke burt wasn't such a girl and stood up for himself like benji did…
dare say he'd be the one coming off second best in that situation though.

i see most of the knights boys around and they're all cool by me, don't insult them...
not a knights fan or anything but i'm not a hater either.
whereas, i hate the eels - one of my exes loves them so it makes me hate them even more.

luke burt, 2013 - forced retirement along with lame azz hindmarsh.
probably the same with minichello and anasta.
you heard it here first.

Well actually the media reported yesterday that Minichello and Anasta would likely retire to make way for $BW, and Hindmarsh, every man and his dog knows he will likely retire and probably should have already

so NO, I didn’t hear it here first

…..Roosters skipper Braith Anasta, who was said to be one of the players who would make way for Williams, yesterday reinforced his desire to remain at the club beyond this year.
>
"Of course I do, I've said that a few times," Anasta said via text message yesterday......

well i seem to remember Anasta's contract being up at the end of the year and they haven't re-signed him, it may not be up to Braith whether he stays or not

Hmmm, digging his heels in eh? Looks like the club will have to shaft him then

luke burt is beyond terrible.

A fact of which I'm sure he is ritually reminded of as you heckle the poor beggar from the sidewalk while he goes about his domestic chores…

**I do agree the thread should be locked** until a reputable source says otherwise. Can't believe the Terrorgraph didn't get a hold of this TBH...

Why?
Its one of only a few with a discussion currently.

Umm why are we discussing Braith Anasta and Sonny Bill Williams in a thread on Luke Burt on a Wests Tigers forum?

If Luke Burt would have come to the tigers like was once rumoured in 2008/2009 to "replace" hodgo before he signed his current contract with the Eels, would you still have him at fullback today, or would he be one of our current wingers/centres/utilities/state cup players?**

My opinion - We would have not seen Moltzen come through as a fullback - we would have seen him come into the side as a utility and then a Halfback IMHO - which may have left Lui Languishing in under 20's State cup - as Lazarus may well have been given a much more fair go than he got.

We may well have never seen the emergence of Blake Ayshford, as Burt would have probably covered for an injured Collis in 2008, and then Moltzen would have been covering at Fullback.

We also may have seen Beau Ryan Dropped during 2010 during his horror run of form, which would have meant we missed the best parts of his career so far - (2011)

We also probably would not have signed Matt Utai - Love him or hate him - the guy was a hard worker for us this year.

Interesting….. lets keep this discussion flowing if we can...

The thread was only revisited to throw the boot into someone who obviously got wrong info. Maybe it was to TRY and teach a lesson that u shouldnt come on here unless u know something 100%… who knows? Personally, i welcome info as long as its not made up. Sometimes deals are all but done, then fall through the last minute. Maybe Bigdamo learnt the lesson Ink was trying to give him and others, but hopefully he didnt, cos sometimes without such info, the place may get a little boring. And i'd say the only reason this thread is still open is due to the boring off season. Id be happy for it to close.

Youre reading way too much into it

I stumbled on to the post….the image amused someone so its not a total loss

like him or not.
Luke Burt has been a loyal servant for the eels.

we all have varing opinions of him.
don't forget, that opinions are like bottoms, everyone has one.

I am just very grateful he missed that attempted penalty goal, when wests-tigers played them late in 2010.
missing that goal ensured wests-tigers made the finals in 2010.

I hardly think that losing the Eels game would have put us out of the Finals… Considering we finished 4th and all??

Lots of Ifs and Maybe's Underdog We wouldn't have signed Wade McKinnon either But overall he would of been a good signing IF it had happened

But then again Finch would of been a good signing IF he signed also ….. where does it all end ???

Plently of if's and maybe's that is true. But its a real Butterfly Effect - how one signing, or one player that is seemingly insignificant can change the shape of a team for years to come….
