Luke Lewis is one of my favourite players, especially in Origin, but to be brutally honest, if we actually have $500k to spend for next year I would rather we buy a top class half back. We need a General/Playmaker who can take over the kicking duties and provide another serious threat on the other side of the ruck and let Benji play his natural game. Sirro is a good talent and will one day probably end up as a ball playing forward. Buying another forward, no matter how brilliant, is not going to solve the biggest problem we have in the club at the moment.

Agree but which halfback that could do the job is on the market??? Plse don't say Pearce

Honestly don't have the answer. I wish there was a decent halfback available in the market for next year but unfortunately a number 7 is hard to find, hence why we had to put Benji in that position i suppose. Guess this is the reason Sheens is keen to make Sirro/Benji work in the long run and instead strengthen our pack with guys like Lewis.

I'm assuming that comment was for me ink and sorry dude nothing to do with that. Just sharing information. But any time u feel likenpullin your head out of your A$$ feel free

We're definitely not without a chance, but it looks like it going to be the Sharks at the moment

Why would the Dogs want Coote when they have Barba? And the Sharks have a pretty handy fullback on the sidelines in Nathan Gardner, plus they've signed Michael Gordon. Don't see how either team will be interested

would have liked to see him sign with us early in the week just to show he is about looking at the best club , not just money , but if we match a deal that others have offered , so be it , good solid player

Not sure if this has been mentioned but apparently his house is for sale.
The shire beckons?

Wasn't he building a new one?

Also how long does it take to get a house on the market? Surely longer then it takes to sign/announce a new contract.
