As for Aysh, although not totally his fault due to Sheens playing him all over the place but his form this year has been nothing but average, any kid from the reserves could have played in his shoes this year and it wouldnt have made a difference. last year he was awesome but this year has fallen right off his game…nuffie.

form is temporary, class is permanent… ayshford is all class. his form is primarily been not as good as last year coz sheens keep moving him from right centre to bench, to 5/8 to left centre etc.

Not sure what your getting at with that comment. That was last year, 4 years ago we bought a big name backrower by the name of Gareth Ellis. Why cant we buy a big name backrower this year? Some might already argue we already have with Anasta coming next year, id prefer Lewis than Anasta.

gareth ellis was 4 years ago, our next big backrower is blair, last year.. no point having a star studded backrow but no depth in props or no real halfback, nor any second choice fullback options.

Also we need a squad strong enough to compete during Origin time , if we sign Lewis. Farah, Lewis,Woods will all be out next year during Origin not to mention Chris Lawrence if he picks up some amazing form next year he might be there as well.

If Lawrence is playing well enough to make origin - happy days! 3 or even 4 guys out for origin is inconvenient at the time but the flipside is your team must be going alright to get players picked. Unless you're St George or Penrith…

In any case forevertiger forgets the NSW selectors are apparently unaware that Wests Tigers has an NRL team.

No i didn't say i would't sign him, You just have to be careful you don't leave yourself high and dry. If we have a few injuries , under 20's wouldn't have enough experience to cover it . I would offer Lewis a back ended contract where his 1st year will be alot less , but you make up for it in his 2nd and 3rd year. We have Heighno and Fulton of contract next year so that might be a solution in getting him .
Alex : i would go all out for him to answer your question , i would get rid of Tuquiri,Humble,Iosefa,Cashmere,Moors as well only because Sheens hasn't used him how he should of.

Stagg off contract at the end of the year and still unsigned. He'd be a good signing (I'm talking in general not necessarily for us)
According to Zero Tackle, Eastwood is contracted to the Dogs for 2013
Frank is also apparently contracted for 2013.

I have heard apparently that the sharks and us are favourites to sign him, but i think the tigers will get him because the sharks have enough forwards as it is and we might be able to free up some cash with ellis leaving and tuqiri will probably be retiring because i can't see him returning to football after having the same injury to his arm over and over again.

If Jeremy Smith gets released by the Sharks just so they can sign Luke Lewis in the same position he would have every right to be massively cut. He has been better than Lewis all year. If we are really that keen on Lewis and we lose to the Sharks because of this I would be thrilled with Smith. In fact I think Smith is a better option for us anyway. He's exactly the sort of player we need. Tough, mongrel and never throws in the towel. He might be older, but he hasn't had as much first grade in his legs so he'll probably last longer.

I laugh when I see these types of questions. They've been asked countless times and I have yet to see anyone with credible sources or mail telling everyone who their source is.
