Luke Lewis..

Rather go for boyle. Big body on the edge would be good.

Call me greedy, but I want both.

In fact, 😛ray:
I'll be happy to take the lot.

Connor Watson,
Curtis Rona,
Morgan Boyle,
Luke Lewis,
Jeremy Latimore/ Brenton Lawrence

Plus re-signing ET and Eisenhuth,
Plus coach IC finding 1 more young and very cheap player to round off the 30.

This is the year for dreaming so why not.

Well, after so many years of seemingly bugger-all signings, we're going hard this year. So why not go even harder.

We already have McQueen and Lawrence as experienced back-rowers.

I am not against this signing, it would be great, but I think money can be better spent elsewhere for dynamic game-breakers.

Neither of them are anywhere near the standard that Lewis still is.
And I hate saying that about Rowdy,
McQueen is either carrying a long time injury or is way out of form,
He's been ordinary for most of this season when he has played.

I get that, Lewis is far superior to Rowdy and Mcqueen.

My point is that we are paying Rowdy and McQueen big bucks and if they're not in the starting side, then it's a waste.

Depth is one thing, but you don't want to pay $$$ for an old player to play in reserve grade.

Everyone is complaining about how we are paying Sirro & Farah big dollars not to play for us, this is basically the same.

We aren't paying Lawrence big bucks. He took a pay cut and is on around $300k for the remainder. Plus I believe we get a bit of credit for long service players. 300k for a top 30 player will be around average if not the losers end.

I strongly doubt that he'd be a depth player.
Mcqueen is the player that worries me , he's no where near what he was a couple of seasons ago. But no matter who is the other backrower, Lewis is a step up for the club.
If we were lucky enough to get him. He would be a perfect example for our younger players.

Just spoke with Luke Lewis and he said absolutely no chance of coming to the Tigers said few words about Ivan and said Sheens is a great coach one of the best he has played under

So you can lock it now

Leave him at the Sharks he had the opportunity to play for the WT back knocked us back.I don't see why WT should fund his superannuation go to ESL if he wants a pay day.Stick with the youth we have and players that have at 5 years longevity.

A t last I've heard the most well thought out reason for not signing a player, "
"He had the opportunity to play for The WTbut knocked us back"

I bet that'll show him, Huh! :unamused:

Correct me if im wrong but Cleary's recruitment seems all about Youth and Future
He had the chance to make a play for Gordon and he didnt, Benji.

My bet, he wont consider this seriously

Theres three reasons he won't come to the Tigers imo.

1\. He has knocked us back before.

2\. Cleary let him go at the Panfers.

3\. Sharks won't let him go.

He actually did agree to come here for a around $400k a year for 4 years, the sharks at the very last minute upped their offer to around ours for the first 3 years and $750k for the 4th year.
Cleary didn't let him go from the panthers, Cleary was coach, Gus actually explained this on league life I think, Penrith were under cap pressure and Lewis asked for a release to help the club and himself out, he needed a fresh start.
And yes Cronulla will probably find a way to keep him, just like easts and Tupou.

Looks like they don't believe you…did he offer why he is no chance of joining the WT?

Yes he did and I can tell you him and his two mates had avo smash for breakfast and coffee

I just chat with him at the place he has coffee and breakfast at

But no chance with Cleary does not rate him

I'm really hoping we get him too, we've got the cash for both players but I see Boyle as a front rower rather than a backrower.

Rather Hoffman, as he's still playing 80 minutes every week and is a bit more under the radar so should be a bit cheaper.

Having said that, Lewis would be good for next year, not sure what he'd be like in 2019 though.

Hoffman is unwanted and will be going to ESL. Based on form this year you would think he would be useful for at least one more year.
