Anyone hear what was said on WestsLife Podcast about what allegedly happened on Mad Monday?

For those who didn't it seems Benji, Packer and either Aloiai or Reynolds were causing division over whether to get behind Madge or not and went to Pascoe to ask to get him fired. Then on mad Monday a bunch of guys Madge had signed (and a few others) got so heated over the issue that they went outside and almost had a blue.

Seems that the players who have our coach's back really have his back and those who don't really don't. A "house divided against itself cannot stand".

Why am not surprised Benji's name is in there...... So glad the little white ant isn't at the club anymore.

How did you get down voted for this ? The guys done nothing but be a cancer for us , either directly , or indirectly eg. Nrl360 for many years now , at some point the good , gets over taken .

Where did it get us Paws?

Farah and Marshall played really good football for WTs even at the backend of their careers.

Great players at a club with little influence. Being great players playing rep football meant exposure to the best coaching and training methods. Coming back to WTs it must have been obvious what was wrong. That is my theory.

Haha nah mate, the only things I downvote are spam posts.

2005 doesn't upset me, it was a great moment in this clubs history. I don't get how revisiting 2005 helps us now. Is Paws suggesting we get Sheens out of mothballs? Because bringing back anyone who left after 2005 has not worked out for us thus far.

Farah was done when he came back. Benji was still playing well with the ball but he was atrocious as ever in defence. No point in scoring 30 points if you let in 36.

The only thing painful about 2005 is that it was so long ago and we have not enjoyed anything close to that for over a decade while every other club has played finals footy at least once in the last five years.

And the current Panthers roster has more to do with Gould, Griffin, and Australia's biggest junior nursery, than Cleary. Though he did add Eisenhuth haha.

If Potter was given a fair chance by this club and didnt have the negative influence around him by the boys club....he would have been good for the team and club....
But we will never know now......

I think as a club we set ourselves a benchmark in 2005. It’s important for us to know how we got there and understand how we moved a unanimous motion to never repeat it. ? There was a lot of talk at the time it was a one off. The stars lined up in the galaxy yada yada. But I’m a firm believer that we did something to make it happen and we did something to turn it off.
You can assemble the worlds best players and still not get a premiership.
The return of Benji and Robbie was only ever going to be an attempt to heal wounds as well as show that the club does respect past and present players. A recognition that the club wants a more positive culture imo.

Sheens and Cleary are the two best coaches we have had at WTs by a long way. Cleary gets results and this is a results driven business. I didn't agree with what he did but understood it involved his son.

It would be interesting to know which coach our current players would prefer to play for if they had the choice? It worked out well for Momirovski.

Cleary achieved zero here. He recruited terribly, and couldn't make the 8. He has never won a premiership, Madge has won two. If it's a results driven business you would not choose Cleary. Even with the (inherited) squad he has this year, I have no doubt the Panthers will choke. They will not win the GF this year.

So you're saying that the Panthers, if Maguire became available, or Chris Anderson for that matter, would drop Cleary and be better off with either of those two choices? Doesn't add up. And let's not count UK Super League titles as a premiership. It's equivalent to NSW and QLD Cup and no one is saying the Walker Brothers are premiership winners.

We saw more in the 1st 6 weeks under Cleary than I have seen under any other coach

We all hate him ..but making up poo about him ...
