I'm a Madge fan. I believe in what he says and the vision he has for the club. But for whatever reason, that isn't being translated onto the field.

As others have mentioned we don't look like a cohesive unit. In either defense or attack. They look disjointed and doing anything other than running one out looks really uncomfortable for them. Leilua and Mbye haven't seen any clean ball or any space all season.

The bench was always going to let us down. But the selection of Jennings was particularly painful.

Another year, a new roster, a new coach, same old Tigers.

I think the straw just broke the camels back after watching his press conference.
Hope he goes for the jugular.

He won't.
Jenko jnr will still be stinking up a treat next week. Guaranteed.

I wouldn’t let that dope walk my dog ..

If Madge had half the quality players we have not been able to retain over the past few years then - yes he would have to hold blame. Two of his highest paid players are not in the first grade side.

Madge picks the team though. If Reynolds isn't in the side that is Madge's decision. Would probably give Benji/Reynolds combo a go after tonight, Brooks was hopeless.

Reynolds should be one of the half’s .. this team needs some enthusiasm and some drive Brooks has neither !
Up to you coach it’s a plain as !

Reynolds would struggle to hold a first grade position based on current form in any team other than ours and maybe the Bulldogs - and yet he is our highest paid player. Not how a good roster works.

As would Brooks.
Change is as good as a holiday.

Brooks was poor today no argument there. That doesn't resolve the Reynolds issue - he was shopped around with no result.

Haven't seen it yet. Did he blow a gasket?

Nope. Same old same lip service.
He should've flat come out and stated "some blokes will not be playing next week".

Scary how good Madge is getting at the rhetoric, always a bad sign...

"Today is not what we are building here...not who we are...I have faith in the men in that dressing room"...

Almost cliched at this point.

Would be nice to hear a "look, lots of chances for the halves...same mistakes...over and over. Someone will have to go until they learn".

Can’t blame Madge for this. He genuinely seems shocked and disappointed about this performance.

The players didn’t do what he asked and that’s on them, they didn’t even look like they wanted to win that’s not something he’s coachin.

Who selected that weak as Bench ... who selects Jennings every week ... who selects a 1/2 that has no drive or any idea ! No the honeymoons over for the coach time to Perform !

What he said was exactly right though? What’s there to complain about he was spot on. He said the club has a history of doing this and it’s on the players to get better. He said the players need to have a look at themselves in the mirror after that performance. Coaches don’t talk about team changes 10 minutes after a game - that will hopefully happen Tuesday 4pm.

Tend to agree. He’s had his chance. It’s his second season, time for him to take some responsibility.

Surely he can't be shocked? Needs to open his eyes if pathetic losses by this team come as a shock to him. It was no shock we lost to those reserve-graders today TBH.

No point blowing up in the press conference and giving the media ammunition.
It's what he says to players behind closed doors that matters.

Jennings didn’t deserve dropping after last weeks game he was good

Brooks is our back to back player of the year

The bench was selected off who worked the hardest at training and earned the spot which is what you do to build a good culture at the club.

The players didn’t work for the win themselves on the field that’s the issue. They knew exactly what needed to be done and didn’t do it even though they managed it last week. As he said the players need to have a look at themselves in the mirror

Mary has been there for 6 years - Pay I feel for, his roster is one of the worst in the league.

When the team has a good performance last week and they know what they need to do to win and do the complete opposite he probably will be shocked - but he knows it’s what happens at tigers. He literally said the club has a history of these performances

Yes...his "it is the truth" bit was strong.

Look, I hate to single out the halves (especially as the wingers are attrocious) but ultimately it comes back to 6 and 7.

And, after YEARS of this...it is clear Brooks and Benji just won't make the right percentage plays at the right times...maybe for a game here and there, but not consistently.

I thought both were average tonight. Last tackle options and general kicking was really poor, they looked unorganised.
