Those who *want* to improve are doing so. Stefano definitely improved as the season went on. Ken Maumolo did better the longer he was here. Daine Laurie was thriving. Doueihi was improving.
Converseley, those who had the attitude of bludging flogs, played like bludging flogs. That's on them. If our salary cap hadn't been so constrained, many of those bludging flogs wouldn't have been here.
Having got rid of most of the salary cap issues, we now finally have chance to start with a blank slate under a coach who has now done all the dirty work. But it looks like we are going to blow it, by a self-inflicted club crisis. Nobody would sign with us at the moment, because they don't know who the coach will be. And at least some of the players who had bought in to Madge's approach (i.e. those in paragraph 1) are no doubt now considering greener pastures.
Don't worry though, we'll get some L Plater like Morris or Ciraldo who has never achieved anything as a coach. That will definitely fix things.
