No idea what's in Maguire's extended contract terms but unless it contains key performance indicators (such as a requirement we make the finals) that might entitle the club to pull the plug without having to pay out his contract in full, it could get very expensive if we punt Madge and have to pay him out plus pay his replacement as well.

Well if it comes to paying out his contract I think that is better for the club rather than a hard struggle for a couple of more years with Madge unable to attract players and losing support of his own players and Wests tigers supporters.

Some people need to take a step back and try looking at this as a rugby league team with some issues.

Now Tyga and others have passed on some information that tends to suggest the playing group is divided and not unified when it comes to game plan and coach.

No professional sporting organisation can function under those conditions, all that go through that fail miserably in the end.

Instead of worrying about the semantics of who may be the mystery player/players who are against the coach lets instead put that rugby league head back on and focus and the constants that we do know.

We do know that Brooks and Nofo fail to fire when it really matters. We do know that Brooks and Nofo have played very poorly when previous coaches have been losing the PR battle. We do know that Brooks and Nofo are two of our MOST senior players.

If and its still a big 'if' as we are not privy to the review these two lads are not buying in then with your rugby league brain back on you would realise that this would have a massive destabilising effect on the younger playing roster.

These kids would lose focus, have to deal with the pressure of feeling like they are caught between two realities.

So 'if' this story is accurate there really is only one solution and that is to move both players on!

Once moved on lets begin again and start judging these young guys. We would also have much more of an idea if the coach can actually coach.

Young players who are not part of the senior playing roster who might reside in the anti Maguire camp should be exempt from punishment. These guys have walked in to a club and have never seen what success looks like or had quality leaders around them teaching them know how to act. They have had Brooks, Mybe and Nofo to show them ropes. Let that sink!

In short id like to see Madge have another crack without Mybe, Brooks and Nofo and see what he can do with a unified squad.

Would be great to have a team all buying in like they did back in 05.

If this proves to be true then any player that is fount not committed and that doesn’t carry out coaching directives ….. must be moved on.
The review, if carried out properly, will weed them out.

I would exclude the rookies because i actually feel sorry for them.

They have never been shown better. All great clubs have quality senior players to develop these rookies in a strong culture.

We dont have that and i dont think you should lose good young players because they came through your rubbish system.

We have only made that mistake like a thousand times.

We would have had enough to offer 3 Latrells $3m without the cap constraints.

And due to how constrained we were, if we did land Latrell the rest of the squad would have been filled with minimum wagers - definitely no Doueihi, no Lucy, no Laurie, no Ken Maumolo. Latrell can be a bludger at times - and any game he didn't turn up we would have been flogged.

We could have $10m and it wouldn't make a difference. Players don't want to play for Maguire. I wouldn't want to.

And when and if we rid of Madge and no one signs who do we blame then .....Pascoe ,Hartigan , Lee ....when will the roster ever be at fault ...when they win a spoon ???

So let’s move players on for the third year in a row. As I asked earlier, whose the common denominator here? And who will be the player who wants out of his contract this time next year? But as long as the club doesn’t allow themselves to be pushed around right? ?

I know everyone hates him, but does Brooks look like the trouble making type? Noffa I could see. He has attitude and a bit of ego, but Brooks? The guy has looked scared of his shadow ever since his debut. He’s never grown a voice. What you see on the field, the timid, emotionless bore is exactly who he is off field. He’s not going to be apart of any kind of mutiny. It’s not in his personality.

I see usual suspects are at their favourite topic pouring rubbish on anything WT.
Knock it all down … start again … let’s go back to the days when the club couldn’t attract sponsors and couldn’t find 2 bob in the bank account. Yep let’s get more of those people back and then see how far the NRL big hats wait before moving our licence elsewhere.
You guys calling for sacking of all our and sundry are bloody delusional and are led by noise from idiots in the Media with agendas to put a end to this club.
The club is going through difficult times on the field …. Everyone can see that. And they are doing all in their powered to find a path to get to success on the field. I’m confident that this administration will get there.
But it really pains me to see couple on here with agenda to continually undermine and discredit everything the club administration does to find a way forward. Their theme is slash, burn, sack and insult integrity of people with far more ability then they are ever likely to get a sniff of.

Madge will be retained and there will be a player clean out and hopefully with some more media pressure pascoe becomes the fall guy from the front office
Its the only way forward both on and off the field and including recruiting

How will that work, Madge can't attract players to the club, how do we improve, or fill the squad

As Tyga posted , its the divide in playing group that is well known amongst other players that is hampering the recruitment. I feel Pascoe isnt helping

But to answer your questions , we improve and move fwd by filling the sqaud with young players and have a united squad under madge

Yep its going to result in us getting the sppon next year ( which I feel we get either way) , however I would rather see a bunch of young kids playing for this club then overpaid spoilt wanna be NRL players run around week in week out and then put there hand out for a pay check why under mining the whole organisation

There is no reason we will get the spoon if we get a new coach and the players are coached some structure, hell a new coach probably gets us some new players

I keep hearing this, but they dismiss Green who has also won a premiership as a dud, Madge was sacked by the same players who won a premiership, now its happening again, only we missed the premiership, and the 8

One premiership might be brushed off as a fluke, but he has won two, and as coach of NZ he has beaten Australia, which is the equivalent of beating the All Blacks in union.

Your pro Madge that's fine everyone has a different view, I am not a Madge fan at all.
If he was such a good coach at club and international level, where are all these players who keep ringing him wanting to play for us, I don't see it, or get it.

We have close to a quarter of our salary cap not being used for 2022, that tells you all you need to know.

That is because we are still in early September. By February there will have been a bunch of new signings.

Man I hope so, we surely need a top up, filling the 30 man squad with juniors will not work, we need some more experienced players who are not looking for a pension

In the doco, wasn't Madge upset that Brooks kept cross field kicking to Oates' wing and was getting frustrated? Doesnt this indicate that Brooks does have freedom to play however he wants? Yet now the team cannot play Madges style.....the club seems to lose the people it should keep and keep the players it should lose
