I don't how you can argue the club knew what they were doing. Potter didn't actually have a say in anything under Grant Mayer. Then Jason Taylor happened, them Ivan now madge. Enough said.

When somebody today sent a text message to ABC Sport about Maguire deserving to be sacked, Mr Opportunist and Mr Each-way bet, Andrew Moore, said something like " the issues at that joint run deeper than the coach". I sent a text message to his program and asked him to be more specific and tell us what the deeper issues at WT are. To my knowledge, he didn't respond.

This is what happens when a, supposedly, professional organisation like WT grant access for a "doco" that, by it's own publicity, exposes the "truth". It becomes the "truth" by the ignroance, bias and filter of every person who watches it.

Is that a positive? Despite manly coming 15th a couple times in the past, other than the Bronocs last year each team that has won 1 since 2011 has made the finals.

My head is spinning from the constant discussion about the coach for 2022. My opinion I think is obvious - we need a new coach. However, regardless of who is coach, I think the following needs to happen:
1. Players who are not on board with the coach be given the chance to negotiate with other clubs from November 1st. They would be players I would not look at for first grade in 2022.
2. The new coach must be prepared to work with Tim Sheens - including being able to take advice from him.
3. Tim Sheens needs to work some magic and start showing outside players that this is a club taking control and on a good path for the future.

You would have to think Ciraldo would be interested .. he has done everything he can at Penrith .
At some stage he will have to step out of the comfort zone

Sacking Sheens was the right decision imo.

So how do you feel about bringing him back?

I thought at the time it was the right decision to move him on, I would have him as coach next year working with an up and coming coach to take over in the next 2 years.

That’s hindsight for you because sacking him clearly was a mistake.

No not really, what is right for an organisation at one point in time may not be the same thing 10 years later.

Never said we were successful, I am a fan of Sheens. Just because things didn't get better does not mean the decision to relieve Sheens was wrong. It means the decision to appoint is replacement was wrong.

I think going from predicted premiers to not making the finals may have had an impact.

Imagine if storm sacked Bellamy for missing one year of the finals?

The only positive for this decade drought is not one wooden spoon.

Tim Sheens coached for 9 years at the Wests Tigers, we made the finals 3 times. The only 3 times we have ever made the finals and I am a huge Sheens defender, but the club needed a new direction and a new voice at the end of 2012.
