Madge Maguire - Mega Thread

NOt sure how I feel about Madge being safe TBH. I really like him as a bloke and have long been a supporter, but it does get to a point where you wonder where the improvement is coming from. Also wonder how its going to improve recruitment.

I was probably hoping for a change of coach but having said that it would depend a hell of a lot on who the replacement was. Would prefer Madge over Flanno, Morris, Green. Would prefer Ciraldo or Bennet over Madge.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Madge’s delivery style isn’t brought up as part of the review / retention meeting. I mean I know I would request him to review his approach if he wanted to stay in the job.

It would be good if he cut down on swearing so often to his players.

If Madge has indeed survived, he will be under enormous pressure next season. If we lose a couple straight to start the year, I would say he is gone. I dare say we will hire an experienced assistant just incase the side fails to fire and can take over if Madge is sacked

Yes and the whole headmaster approach. I’m sure it’s not him all the time but looks a bit Jekyll and Hide to me and the deliver timing seems a littlle off. This is what I felt after watching the post game review he gave on camera after the Canberra game. It was almost like he got caught on a tangent but thankfully reeled himself back in.

What sought of review after 3 seasons of failure with different assistants recommends that the mediocrity that has engulfed all before it recommends that the coach continue this would be astounding .
I suppose this is not surprising from a very lack lustre organisation! and set to continue throw the towel in guys and Re locate and do us all a favour..

Potter wasn't re-signed not sacked technically.

Semantics. If you don’t have your contract renewed that’s not saying “hey, we like what you’re doing please stay and continue”. It’s sacked.
