It is good to have youngsters spelled at times especially if the team isnt wining.

Simpkin, Stafano, Cini all did well and will be the foundation of our team for the forseeable future.

I would love for the people in the know to shed some light on this because surely Maguire can not be the long term coach of this team. We are a young, rebuilding team now, simple as that. We are not on the cusp of the 8 anymore because all the other teams around us a few years ago have improved and we’ve gone backwards since Madges appointment. Now you can argue oh he still has the Mbye and Packer contracts but he has brought in his fair share of players now and has been shunned by many a star player. Now coming up to this off season, we have the most cap space to spend that we’ve had in years and where is that going to go ? I don’t trust this club with the way it is at the moment to use that money properly.

Main point I am trying to get across is we’re obviously desperate to break this ridiculous finals drought but it is not gonna happen anytime soon with our roster and coaching staff and I don’t know how the club can’t see that. Why aren’t we having a top to bottom review of the club like Newcastle are ? I’d argue that 10 years without the finals is equally as bad as the 2 spoons they’ve won because at least in that time they’ve signed for the future and made finals

The only reason Maguire still has a job is to shield the fools that extended his contract ... 2.5yrs of failure and getting worse by the week someone's head has to roll !

I have yet to see a game coached by Maguire that has made me think, "we're in good hands here..."

I felt that multiple times under Cleary, which impressed me given the length of his coaching stint with us.

I do not think Madge is a good coach. A nice guy, maybe. But a winner? Nope. We need someone *like* Shane Flanagan.

Well actually Madge has a positive win record im basically every column - 56% as Kiwi coach, 58% in finals matches, 51% all NRL career, 75% in UK Super League.

So technically he's a winner, even despite the abysmal 38% win at Tigers. However name me the coach with a positive win record at Tigers... I'll save you the research: there isn't one.

You say Ivan impressed you but he and Madge have basically had the same Tigers career so far - Ivan won 18/43 (42%) and Madge is 21/54 (39%). Madge inherited Ivan's mess, Ivan arguably inherited JT's mess, but Tedesco, Woods and Slimey didn't leave under Madge's watch.
