They don’t play for him.

Most obvious example of losing the sheds I’ve ever seen.

They don’t play for each other

They don’t play for themselves

Nice sequence…I’ll keep this for motivating my kids in future ????

They don’t play for the fans

If only…

Madge is unemployable.

Needs to enroll in some education and think of his future.

Needs to enroll in Anger Management. I think that all his players would agree on that. His demeanour is the exact opposite to what a coach of any level should be.

Cleary was described as cool, calm and collected prior to the big game last night. With so many of our players being young, what approach would you prefer to be directed to our future talent?

Cleary really was a loss for us. I hate what he did to us, but I think he would have these young blokes performing a lot better. A lot of the reason is because of how you just described him.

He'll destroy us next week.

he has a squad built over 6 yrs, its a gifted position...

he has what we cannot buy, players who know where the next man should be, will be... Panther and Melbourne both build their houses, they thrive on the successes of slipping players into systems that are established. Our fanbase expects to buy that, rather than build it.

Take Melbourne, everytime they slip a new player into their system, 4 players are necassary to their play, 3 are stalwarts, so if the 4th player "drops the ball" and isnt in tune, the 2nd and third option are still alive.

We play the game very similarly, we can see it in the successful period, but we lack the conviction, once we see the wheel wobble. Panthers and Storm know a wobble doesnt mean the wheels fall off... our guys dont have the faith to regain traction once we wobble. We feel the pressure of an error, the top tier know how to regain their form.

My take for next year.
Madge stays but Sheens oversights all aspects and is in the co-coaching role with him .

According to madge sheens Woking mostly in Junior space. Its really annoying their not on the same page.

Probably just ‘big swinging dick’ lingo from Madge - Madge and Sheens are big personalities - I’m sure each would rather be running the show solo.

This year has been disappointing but judge him next year. The coach deserves a chance. Of the team's outside the 8 I'm happy with our squad. Hopefully we add a few quality players and that would make all the difference.

Idea of changing coach and hoping for a miracle is always popular, but I don't see that as being the factor.

On paper next year I feel like we currently have the second worst squad. Plenty of spots to fill but every other team is improving their squad next year except us, or they're already better than us.

Without recruitment, we're on track to another ugly year next year.

Should be planning ahead but we're in quicksand.
Our decent players will be picked off by better teams and we'll continually be a development club for thr NRL, wallowing in medocority.

Some one has to put their foot down and SOON.

What Cleary did was discgraceful, but I think that it was also smart.

His son was a handy smokescreen, but I think he realised what a steaming mess his mate (Pascoe) had dragged him into in this club. Poor roster, poor facilities, poor attitudes. It is similar to what Tamou saw within weeks of arriving.

We have leadership in the club, but unfortunately they are more about screwing around & having fun than actually winning football games. Luci, Joe O, Nofa.

There appear to be some real cliques within the team, and it is not an "old boys" club.

So many posters saying give Madge next year because next year is finally his squad?

So let me see, Packer gone and Mbye gone next year because I think most of the other players were signed or re-signed on Madge’s watch.

So with no Packer and no Mbye we will play a lot better?

Am I missing something?

Madge’s biggest problems appears to be the lack of development in the playing group and to set in his ways that he can’t or want adapt. The good coach can and do. I also think it’s time for Justin to leave

I actually think we have the worst squad next year, which wont change until Madge goes.Cowboys at least have many SOO players....even tho Toddy geyts nothing out of them
In fact,if Madge stays next year our better players will start to exit and accelerate our downward spiral...it can only get worse.
Madges position is untenable in ANY industry, most critically a results oriented business like the NRL

Never seen the club play with such a lack of effort both defensively and offensively - on top of our evident struggles to attract any player who comes on the market who could’ve made massive differences to this team.

And the cherry on top, it’s clear the players don’t wanna play for him and have just given up on Madge’s direction

Yes Mbye, Reynolds, Packers and Mcqueens are all gone now, but what positive impact does that do when no one wants to even come to us regardless of the money being thrown

Let’s stop riding on Madge’s premiership he won nearly 7 years ago, and analyse what he’s doing for us.

It’s extremely clear to me we need a new direction immediately, cause this road is a dead end!

He at least recognised that the junior path ways are very important and has put lots of effort behind it so we can bring our juniors through the system like Panthers have done...and look where they are now..we have quality young guys atm but they need experience within the NRL SYSTEM,which takes time and hard work to get right..
When Hartigan can recruit some hard experienced players willing to work hard at the WTs then we will see success...our middle and backs are not DECENT NRL quality, for all the mention of loyalty etc,how does Noffa,Brooks etc get put on a pedastal and yet produce anything but NRL standard football....

I can not believe that many want Maguire next season ? what changes basically same roster .. same coach.. same unmotivated group am I missing something .
Moving the coach on is not exactly turning over coaches at a fast rate Maguire has been the coach for 3 seasons so not exactly panicking how much failure does it take !
The team has been on a decline since the first game he coached 3 seasons ago ,this is not his team .. this is his team that is crap. The players are not responding to his style of coaching his assistants offer nothing if they did you would see it .
The Board will be negligent to Stake holders/ members and supporters not to move Maguire on and also a few contracted players to boot .

I actually read a comment the other day of someone saying they didn’t think we needed to sign anyone. The delusion a couple wins in a row will do. I’m over hearing about how good our young players are. Laurie, AD, Blore, Stefano. Some people talk them up like it’s the early stages of a repeat of 05. It 100% is not. They are ok, but every club has promising rookies. Ours aren’t better than most other clubs

Least if Madge gets the ass he shouldn't find it to hard to get another gig.
No will hold his failure at the Tigers against him.
Only bellyache and jesus could fix this club...

Agree but I'd add one more. Hartigan came to us with a terrific reputation for recruiting quality at Easts. But, it's a completely different deal recruiting to the Roosters. His record for recruiting quality at WT since he arrived is not good. The list of NRL standard players we haven't been able to recruit is growing. I'd be looking to sell the WT of the future to fans, the media and NRL quality players as a club that a new broom has swept through minus Maguire, Pascoe and Hartigan.
