Madge Maguire - Mega Thread

I think that there are a lot of similarities between Madge & JT. The style of football they play, the fact that both were hired on the pretense of toughening us up and improving our defence, the fact that both failed miserably.

Most obvious:
Maguire Tigers career (19-21)
66 Games, 26wins, 40 losses, win percentage 39.4%

At the end of the season:
2 wins, winning percentage 41.2%
1 win one loss, winning percentage 39.7%
2 Losses, winning percentage 38.2 %

2019 - 9th
2020 - 11th
2021 - ???

JT Tigers Career (15-17)
51 games, 20 wins, 31 losses, win percentage 39.2%
2015 - 15th
2016 - 9th

Not really, if the clubs doing well I’m complimentary, if it’s a dumpster fire (like it is at present) I’m not.

Spot on I believe people confuse when the club talks about pathways. You are talking about a big investment with Sheens, Kimmorley and the entire club focusing on 15/16 year olds who will be the future of the Tigers. Most won’t be ready until 19-20 and if good enough dominating by 21-22.

It won’t show for 5 years. If we can keep and improve players that got their real start with the Tigers like Utoikamanu, Blore, Laurie, Douihei Simpkin, Simpkins, Tuilagi, Talau they become your senior playing group.

Issue is we can’t sign veterans to help these players now. It’s a problem.

No it's definitely you. You don't get what bias is. You cannot possibly have an unbiased opinion about the team you follow; it is by definition not possible, as dispassionate as you may believe your argument is.

If we look who our potential NRL side was to be on the field regularly this year and the team we are fielding against the Panthers,then we cant possibly have faith in the result being a positive one...

Not playing and are sidelined for varying reasons.....

There are more but these were going to be our core players...Madge has given a few young guys a debut but really with chopping and changing this year and debuting young guys,we never really expected to be finals bound,we did though expect much better performances from the players that were labeled as leaders and quality youth....
