The coach has set himself up to be punted , the team is a rabble has been for a couple of seasons. Maguires stubbiness for what ever reason not to surround himself with some professional assistants to help with attacking and defensive structures is going to cost him his job.
The constant selection of individuals that just can not perform to NRL level is another weakness that is being exposed ..I am so over reading posters backing many of these players .,these players are just plodders that have been elevated to a level that they would not attain at any other club !
I DO blame the coach as he is the one responsible for this mess .. He selects these plodders ever week it is pathetic watching these pretenders .

Yes the current assistant coaches are not doing a good job are they, I think we need a cleanout in that department- couldn't do any harm:anguished:

It would be unfair for the assistant coaches to get the sack while Madge remains. Ultimately he’s the head coach - he should go too.

Unfortunately its not a good look for the club if we continue to dismiss our head coach, These assistant coaches come with good credentials - but I guess that doesn't help if they are not gelling with the players perhaps. I’m not sure we could look much worse. **I just saw an article in the DT saying we should be wound up.** We need results on the field ASAP. As much as I dislike him personally Flanagan would be a better coach for us.

Clubs that fail are clubs that get destroyed on the scoreboard consistently, have little membership and are broke with no business vision. Thats not us. News Corp can print all they want.

We’re getting destroyed consistently and that will impact the other two.

Just watched Madges presser again. Its just as frustrating as watching the team play. Madge should keep his conferences short and sweet. Stop the fluff talk e.g. the players know what they've got to do etc. I'm sick of it. The players have no idea what to do or else they'd do it. Resilience - Don't mention the word Madge, the players are the furthest thing from it. They are loosers and have a looser mentality. It's up to you to get rid of that looser mentality once and for all. Keep training over the next few weeks short and sweet too, its not helping us on the field whatever you're currently doing. Do some defensive stuff, abit of cardio and then send these boys to a shrink and work more on their mentality rather anything else. These fellas have the mental toughness of a dead slug.

I think Madges presser is starting to show signs of him changing tac. That 5 - 7 minutes post game must be excruciating for him. Must seem like an hour and a half.

That’s sugar coating it a bit. Look into the games more deeply and it’s worse. Cows game we were down 24 nil at half time in one of the biggest milestone games of the clubs history, Dragons were horrific, Titans we capitulated from the beginning then tried to get back into it when it was too late, Roosters, Eels, Raiders and Manly treated us with contempt. Knights we won somehow and Souths we had a dig for some reason.

We are sitting second from the bottom and I think we’ll probably get the spoon. With the exception of a couple of players it’s the most pathetic team I’ve seen in WT history. Madge signed them or re-signed them now it’s time to fall on his sword.

Well shows part of the reason they were not switched on for 1st 15 mins if Graner is doing that, need to want to smash the opposition prior to a game and compliment each other after the game, Drop him from run on side next week.

Funnily enough I've heard Gardiner is an extremely tough coach more so than Madge which is why he's not made the jump to NRL coach but it seems to be working. Maybe he's changed his ways or maybe the reserve grade boys actually give a crap.

There's a clear window to promotion in FG, we are absolute pus in first grade. That's why the reserve graders are putting in.

It's just completely the wrong attitude. There's no excuse for that. He just clearly doesn't care about the win, the game, the team.

Just release him now, I don't want him to be dropped an have our reserves tainted with that mindset.

Though I'm sure he's not alone in having that mindset, and he should be accompanied with some others as they are shown the door.

Not really, done some work with NZ and at Souths with Madge but that's about all I know. Definitely speaks well whenever I hear him and if he can keep the team going well then we can't complain!
