Amazingly you can now actually hear the questions at the press conference!!

Loved watching the Seibold presser, you could clearly hear our boys having a good laugh about something going on in our changeroom. Seibold looked physically ill everytime a burst of laughter roared up?

He’ll feel better when he thinks about the million dollar pay out coming his way when he’s punted.

It's not our problem so who cares, hopefully they have to pay him $5mill.
Pretty sure he would get paid out more than $1mill, he's still got 3 years left after this season IIRC and he would've signed on for big $$.

I'd love to see Brooks left out of the side until Madge finds a good enough reason to drop our current halves, this is how it should be.

The other thing about Maguire, a lot of folks have been moaning about the lack of marquee signings and then blow up when a bloke like Cotric signs for the Dogs for a million bucks.

But Madge clearly recruits and promotes for roster depth, that enables him to interchange players if they aren't meeting his standards.

So whereas 2019 he inherited Brooks-Marshall-Farah-Liddle-Thompson-Mbye-Reynolds as his basic spine options, he added Doueihi, Walters, Grant, Simpkin; let Thompson go. He now has 6 legitimate halves options, with probably Benji being the only top-flight half (at his best), but the rest fighting hard for their positions. At hooker he has Grant, Walters, Liddle, Simpkin with Farah gone.

Personally I think Madge let Thompson go because he got a good long-term offer from Titans and Madge knew he wasn't really in his plans - we've bought the player we intend to be our long-term FB and wingers frankly are a dime a dozen at the moment, esp with a lot of young wing/centre types in our reserves - Talau, Jennings, Hoffman, Cini, Bradley, Kei etc. Not that they are all world-beaters but there's not much point having Talau ride the pine by preference of Corey Thompson.

There will be a few other players he will be letting go by season end and some players are playing for contracts and performing, Packer was a revelation with go forward and he still has a year to run on his contract.
