I hope our guys are as shattered as Mitch Moses is that they got eliminated.

Really though we were robbed in the 9's but a completely unfair format! I wouldn't be upset at losing such a poorly run event.

We could have picked a better side if it really mattered

Coach and club thought it didn't matter

Either way you can't blame the NRL

Why would it matter when you can have a setup where we miss the finals in the way we did. The NRL treated the 9's as a joke by having pools where you play 2 out of the 3 opponents in your pool. Rabbits made the finals due to them playing a reserve grade Raiders team and us playing a relative strong Titans.

I would disappointed if we treated such a poorly thought out event with anything above contempt!

Well we wait until all sides in our group are named and then name ours ....next question

We knew the format ...we chose our squad ......end of story

Obviously Madge and his sentries didn't think $ 1000 000 was that important

Ancient history move on

The winners of the 9's received $250k, and I am quite happy with the squad we chose!

That makes no sense to me, how does knowing we wouldn't play a reserve grade Raiders outfit change our choices, it would actually make me choose a worst team as we are now disadvantaged.

You win both games if it is so important

The club didn't think it was important

Move on ...I can't see why your getting your knickers in a knot

Me getting my knickers in a knot? I'm not here complaining we treated a mickey mouse tournament as a mickey mouse tournament!

We won one game easily and lost the 2nd by 1 point, seems a pretty good effort for us since its your opinion we chose a poor squad!

And your blaming the NRL because Ricky chose a sub standard squad

I don't care about the 9's ...you seem to .....we knew the draw ...the NRL CEO's probably voted on it somewhere along the line

I'm saying if it was important we should of chosen a stronger squad .....obviously we didn't as we would have chosen Brooks .....Twal ....Lawrence .......players more suited to the 9's format

Again I'm not sure why you are getting your knickers in a knot

We should aim to win every time.

Looked decent in game 1 and average in game 2.
They should be filthy on themselves after that.

Not taking pictures of themselves hugging Luke Metcalf (Michael Che Kam 😡😡)

Maybe Corey should get off his Playstation and focus on his training more.

Which is what I've being saying since yesterday and is why I keep saying why are you getting your knickers in a knot in regards to the draw

It wasn't important according to the club , we obviously don't need the $1 000 000 and we move on

The total prize money was $ 1,000,000.00. Winning team receives $ 250,000.00.

It was a Mickey Mouse tournament alright. Checkout the try awarded to the saints. The NRL couldn’t organise a chook raffle.

Yes..the 9's format is flawed. Where else in the world do you have a pool of 4 teams and only play 2 of 3? Really dumb.

We could have beaten the Titans. Too many errors, kicking on the 2nd tackle too often and a soft try early on cost us dearly. Did well to hang in there and keep it close in the end.

Penrith are the ones who would have been shattered. 1 million on the line and three referees, led by the grand final specialist himself make a stupid decision to kick the club out of a great chance to win the final.

The NRL Nines were a joke to all except those players who suffered a serious injury playing an unnecessary NRL money making tournament.

Had we won the tournament, it would have been the best thing the NRL have done.

The 9s exposed our lack of pace in the backs for those players who were selected. Hopefully this inspires Maguire to have a better look at lower grade options. Perhaps also an opportunity to move certain backs on to ESL.

You are always going to get shown up more for speed when there are less players on the field. We will be much better in the 13 a side format.

I agree with @pawsandclaws1 to some degree. Watching some of the plays produced by the young speedsters, I wouldn't mind one bit having someone on the team with the potential of blow the game open, for us.
But in saying that, seeing as we didn't see enough of Mbye - to really gauge his ability - we really need to address our hooker situation.
I know it was only the 9s, and we went down in the same old fashion but I'm honestly a little more excited for our year ahead.

I also see it as a positive for the club that WT, alongside Broncos and Dragons secured the Highest TV ratings (in the pool games).

Interesting stat......
I watched it all.
Bronx, mehhh.
Dragons were exiting as.

Sailor, Saab, Sullivan and the long hair kid were great.

That's why the NEGATIVITY in this FORUM has to go we have to become BELIEVERS

We want to be believers but have been burnt so often in the past. Hopefully Madge and the team can change it all this year.

We are the best fans in the game, the fact we are still here shows our comitment when we have veen let down year after year.

Finally we have a foundation of coach and corporate to build on.

At the end of the day the players need to start winning.

What it did - was expose the fact that a proper playmaker was not selected in our team.

This!

I couldn’t care less about the tournament, it’s format, the refereeing stuff ups (here we go again), the result.

It is no indication of future form.

BUT Madge wants our club to change culture. To be heavyweights. To win.
At the end of the day we lost when a win was going to see us progress. And that’s how it always is. And that’s a problem.

On a positive note - I thought Lucy played well and having Mikaele run off him bodes well for the real thing. I can well imagine that Right side tearing teams apart with Lucy & Benji sending big boppers BJ & Mikaele & even Aloiai through them.

The disappointing, but not surprising, thing was the lack of energy in the second game. We've just seen that way too many times.
