Good Signings. both are at worst strong depth players. I wonder what Kevie is thinking. He might be starting to get a little nervous about being unsigned for 2018\. Monau in particular is a player that might turn into a very good signing. Don't recall much about Thompson but some are saying he is solid and a good signing given the right price.

Who is Monau, where does he play and why wasn't I told he was signed?

Founa. My bad.

I thought there was some suggestion Fonua was gonna join us before June 30

Anywho Mod, please correct the spelling of his name Mahe Fonua

Its not too hard to get the name right, just copy and paste people

Unbelievable job cleary and management. Our recruitment drive continues. We are really building towards a very strong squad of 30\. We will have depth and competition in most spots, something we havent had in the past.

The best news is the so called media is off our backs and looking at other clubs…. I truly believe that Woods and Teddy deep down are regretting their decisions a little as we are heading on the up..
Without the coach we wouldn't be signing these players so well done Tigers

Haha… Yeah I'm sure they are....???
They are going to clubs that are proven semi final contenders....
We sign an excessive amount of wingers and a few old forwards (all of which I'm happy with) and you think they are regretting there decision?
No.... They aren't regretting there decision.
They are getting paid more money to play in teams that have better players in pretty much EVERY position than the tigers. Even with our new signings.
The difference is obvious. The Tigers sign "hopefuls" and the dogs/roosters signs State of Origin players

Couldnt disagree more mate.

We are paying overs for reserve graders of those over their peak.

a hodge podge of reserve graders.

I reckon they will all take the $$$ and plod.

Woods and Teddy gonna be free of mediocrity and flourish

Some just seem to think its a given Cleary jr will be here in 2020\. Its not quite that clear cut imo,

+Never seen a recruitment drive/cleanout like this …we will be barely recognisable
Exciting stuff
What I like most is all these players want to come and play for Cleary

Yep, all signs looking very positive towards 2018\. And unlike Taylor, Cleary hasn't been hampered by the salary cap in building the side he wants. Throw Milne and Rona into the backline and we're looking alright. Another front rower would just about complete the squad.

Sounds like you are in the know mate. Mind listing these 'overs' contracts for us?

Can't agree with that, Reynolds, Packer, Mataulino and even McQueen had several offers to choose from, and I don't think we paid overs for any of them, especially Mataulino at $475k, that is a bargain.
I don't know what we are paying Fonua or Thompson but they are not old, and Fonua in particular could be a great signing.
As for players past their peak, Packer is in career best form, Mataulino is nearly back to his best after injury, Reynolds leaving the dogs started all the crap going on there as they didn't want to lose him, so you are hard to please.

good stuff - funny how they said nobody wants to come to the West Tigers

I've never heard that no one will come here , but the numberof top quality players who are battering our door down isn't exactly a torrent,

I agree with the part about paying overs( if the figures reported are anywhere correct. And the length of some of them is a bit suspect, I think that there's a lot of hope going into some of our signings and I think that LoLo is at the top of that list. He's definetly better than what we had, but it will be a while before we see how much better.
He's a risk , but I hope he s worth it, especially given what we paid for a reserve for one of the worst teams in the nrl.

Didn't we sign 2 SOO players and 2 New Zealand Internationals?
