If this were the case all these players are relatively young so with a preseason under Cleary the Fonua-Johnston or Nofo-Suli combo could be the next 'Lei-pana' 😛ray:

I think this will be pretty close to what we run out with come R1 2018.

i dont know why people keep saying Alex Johnston to the wing. He has stated if he goes to any club he wants to play fullback. So there is like no chance he is coming to the tigers if he is playing on the wing.

Because no other club will play him at fullback either. Wherever he ends up, and it won't necessarily be Souths, he will be playing on the wing.

Hi Guys, would be very surprised if Fonua played Centre for you. He plays on the Wing for us, I don't think he has the positional sense to play Centre.

He'd do well in either position in attack with his powerful running but I'd be more concerned about his defence at centre.

You see we have this funny thing at the Tigers where, we play guys where ever there is a spot in the team regardless of what position they actually play. Are you aware that we played Jordan Rankin on the wing and at hooker for the majority of last year? Or that we played Kevin Naiqama at center for all of last year and the beginning of this year, even though he was letting in a thousand tries? Or that we even had Elijah Taylor playing at hooker?

I know but, I'm still pissed off and confused. I mean for gods sake he played Rankin over JAC, who is now a regular consistent first grader at the Storm. If Ivan ever plays Rankin anywhere but the halves, I'm going to go on a very long rant.

Not even 1 on 1, looks like he doesn't have a lot of trouble with 2 or even 3!

Interesting to see that Hull plays him at centre in attack for a lot the tries on the clip.

As for pace, no blinder but apart from playing on the opposite side of the field he reminds me a lot of one of our past favourites…
