We are strongly linked with John Folau as a replacement for Fonua. I know he is at the Eels, but seen as though you are pinching our player, I thought I would ask what he is like on here

Where did you hear these rumours?

Wildie is a supporter of the ESL team that Fonua is playing for and he isn't talking about John Folau to the Wests Tigers; He's just asking what Folau would be like as a replacement for Fonua.

Exactly sideline eye. I wrote a similar reply earlier this morning to the same post from Wildie

Article mentions hamstring injury

I dont like them

Brooks is still out with it
I think players are most plagued by hamstring injuries and you are always prone to get stung at some stage

I'll take a bung hamstring over a torn ACL any day thanks.

Had a blinder last night in the Challenge Cup final. Scored 3 and had a 4th disallowed. Could be our new Taniela??

Congrats to Gareth Ellis also.

Runs the ball up with plenty of power, him and Nofo should be pretty good helping to get us out of our own end next year. Fell asleep in the 1st half so will have to try to watch the replay. Congratulations to Gareth the champion.

The try Burgess scored down Fonau's wing makes me think Fonua will fit in well..Fonua's 1st try he just fell over the line the 2nd was a great finish with little space..

I also like his haircut..

We've got a couple of mini tanks on the wings in Nofo and Fonua. Neither player is the all-round perfect winger, they're not outright speedsters who can go the length of the field, but they have no trouble contorting themselves close to the line and they are both very good at making metres from dumyhalf.

Is he though only a right side winger ? We have Nofo there. I hope one of them can play on the other side.

Similar to the penrith panthers wingers. Both arent great under the high ball but make massive meters coming out of their own end and can take the occasional hit up in the middle when needed.

That is true but Watene-Zelezniak uses speed to break tackles and not strength. The Panthers wingers have a balance of Strength with Mansour and speed with Dallin. We have strength with Nofoaluma as he is one of the top tackle busters in the game and we need someone like Rona who is tall and is kinda fast. Look at his highlights on YouTube, he is pretty fast for a big guy.

I think the best way to go about this Earl is - Let's see if Fonua is in Cleary's plans to play on the wing in the NRL and indeed if he is good enough to play on the wing in 2018.

Guess the off season will hold the answers.
