Mansour linked to Wests Tigers

Here we go again, more pie in the sky signings with no substance, 1ST we had Teddy staying, HE LEFT. Then we had Inu coming next week or the week after, 2 MONTHS ON NO INU, Then we could be getting Holmes THEN THAT WENT QUITE, now we are getting Mansour. Time to face up to the fact we are not getting anyone this year or even next year. Now put away the crystal balls some of you have and go back to the lounge and get a cold beer and relax.

now we are in the media spotlight as 1 - having cash and 2 - having a spare spot in the register we are going to be linked by ridiculous rumour to every tom, dick and harry going around.
I suppose it's better than the old robbie hates benji who hates bryce who etc.etc that the terror would always trot out - but it's also a complete waste of time and space.

The only problem with Mansour at fullback may be his positioning which I personally have not seen. We have Potter though who can help Mansour become a gun fullback. I would offer him the Tedesco money & the fullback position if that's what we need to get him.

WHY WHY WHY, is every one so keen to get another winger to the club , maybe we should put a little more effort into converting Tim or Nofo to the fullback spot and work harder on Koros defence and we don't need any other winger. We know we have no money so work harder with what we have.

It seems people think playing a new position is as easy as changing a jersey.

Constant examples are painful. I get we need a fullback. I get that perhaps there is a chance (1/5) that a player may make a successful transition.

However, to bring a player into the club and then expect them to successfully make the positional change is the words of gambler.

If we are going to change a players position let it be where we have an out. Let it be where we can change them back to their specialised position.

With Koro developing every game, we have wingers and a good prospect. Don't bring a big money winger in.

Spot on. As good as Mansour could be, he's not that yet. His game is littered with errors all to often. We don't need him really. Best we focus on a wealth of junior talent coming through.

You obviously didn't watch him yesterday.

Get the feeling we won't have any major signings form outside our own club

And that's probably a good thing. Spend the money wisely and make sure that we have everyone we need signed up for the next few season and then look around at who's available next year.

Just thinking of past and current players who moved into fullback after debuting in another position

Minichello
Hodgeson
Slater ?
Lockyer?
Michael Gordon
Tim brasher

Sure there's plenty more

Billy Slater - Winger
Cameron Smith - 1/2
Cooper Cronk - Hooker
Darren Lockyer - Fullback
Michael Morgan - Halfback
Steve Turner - Fullback
Todd Carney - Fullback
Jamie Lyon - 5/8
Israel Falou - Wing/Center
Lote Tuqiri - Fullback?

Marika scored 3 today and should have had 4 in the NSW Cup, I'd rather the club kept him and were able to find a permanent fullback in another player without seriously contemplating Mansour.
Nofo and Simona have been suggested but I'm sure that Rowe will improve leaps and bounds without all the undue hate and pressure on him, looked good against the Broncos, he didn't cost us the game.

You want to keep Koro? Mr fix it here…

1\. Mansour
2\. Richards
3\. Nofzilla
4\. Simona
5\. Koro

Simona is a solid defender so it will help Koro. Mansour is going to be a gun fullback and I guarantee it.

I think a lot of the supporters' mindsets have been tainted by old Sheensy - the biggest of all gamblers. He thought every player could play in any position he decided to pick them in each week and at least half a dozen players in the team could be turned into a halfback, according to Sheensy

Officially re-signed with the Panthers today. I reckon Tedesco must be thinking "why the f$#k did I sign with the Raiders". IMO I reckon he thought he would have been playing with the likes of Ennis, Mansour and Proctor, plus the few limited decent players they al ready have!

The Raiders have now missed out on Mansour…Looking more and more likely that Teddy will be the only "big name" signing they get for next season.
