Probably bad news on the Koro signing,just flicking channels on Fox,and on the rugby show they said Koro had passed his medical for the Melbourne rebels and was likely to sign within days

I heard that the Rebels wanted him because of the Fijian fans in Melbourne. If they sign him they think it will also attract Fijian fans. Plus he was playing Union before joining the Tigers, so the learning curve won't take as long as someone who has never played Union.

Not much room for Koro at that stage.

As for Moses, wasn't Anasta still playing 6 then??

Richards at that point was basically useless as well. We would have been a lot better off with Koro playing more footy.

This is a good example of our lack of foresight. Most on the forum knew Koro was a star a few years ago. Why don't we lock up rookies with huge upside on long term deals when they are cheap. Why all this garbage with 1-2 year deals? JAC will be the next Koro. i would lock him up on a 5 year $600k deal who knows he may go for it with no experience.

I watched a bunch of his games for the sharks NYC 2-3 years ago and he was skinny as hell but the standout player in all the games I saw

If he turns around and signs with the Rebels (as seems likely given Bellamy's rant at the NRL) then we could never have kept him mid-long term anyway. He's a mercenary and we would have been stupid to try and compete with RU money for a winger.
