Yes, there is no substitute for speed. Can't wait for the next time Nofa gets done for pace on the outside.

There actually is. No point being fast if you can't tackle, catch or don't know to position yourself. Matt Shirvington was keen on converting when he was a runner. By this logic, he'd have been a match winner.

Darren Clark did convert and he turned out to be more than average, but very quick and that's all.

Never made first grade but very popular at Leichhardt for those of us there for the reggies.

You can't coach speed, but you can work on a player's skill set being defensive reads, positional play, tackling technique, defusing bombs etc etc. Any coach would love a fast winger but not at the expense of poor defensive qualities etc.

So TigerTorch mentioned that we have 2 players departing at seasons end and one would hurt, then the JAC to Storm rumours started.

He mentioned that this would be Halataus last year, he could be one.

Another possibility is Ava or Sue or he could've meant even potentially Farah (being the one that will hurt). I can't think of anyone else.

Now he said Tigers enquired about getting Koro at $280k but they said $360k. MAYBE they are getting JAC for $120k so we can get Koro at $280k or less in a swap style arrangement.

Who knows though?

I was of the opinion the two players were Cherrington and JAC, from the bits and pieces put together. Cherry was the one that would hurt.

I'm l saying that the two clubs may have spoken about it and agreed that both players will finish the year off and the players could potentially just swap clubs and gain contracts. The players are obviously off contract but may have agreed that it's a good option for all involved. Basically they're off contract, but may have a hand shake agreement with the opposite club which WT and the Storm may have initiated. An unofficial/official deal lol

I'm just trying to piece together a few things that Tiger Torch mentioned.

During the Souths v WTs game, there was a short conversation between Phil Gould and I think Ray Warren. The way it was raised by Warren was for a reason with Gould commenting that Sue was a very good and hard prop (or similar). I was left with the impression they knew more than what was said.

Maybe but the Panthers already have pretty good depth at prop with RCG, McKendry, Latu, JFH, Latimore, Matagi and Kikau. The recent rumours of Tamou being linked with the Panthers also make me think they probably haven't already signed another prop in Sue for 2017\. Once Gould decides he likes a player though he seems to have little regard to the actual roster needs at the Panthers, so there could be something in it…

I've got a mate who's a Panther fan and he swears they have signed Cherrington.

Well, I haven't seen him around recently. I'm interested to see what happens when Farah plays origin. Maybe Ballin will do 80 minutes.

Farah hasn't been setting the game on fire so far this season. He'll have to lift his game if he is going to be selected for SOO. At this stage i think Nathan Peats is in the mix to be the NSW number 9.

Yes Marika is like an extra forward, he always comes in and gets a hit up in every set, and he bends the defensive line back as well and if he gets through it usually ends as a 6 pointer. I'd have him back, but not for $350+

Probably bad news on the Koro signing, just flicking channels on Fox,and on the rugby show they said Koro had passed his medical for the Melbourne rebels and was likely to sign within days
