Marina Go resigns Barry O'Farrell appointed

The two independents left one director and the chair. We need a Rugby League Head on the board. They have to work with the West’s Directors who hold balance of power. Someone from the big end of town would be smart and. League person.
 
Well the ARL Commission have truly bent us over and given us a good rodgering. I doubt Pascoe will be back.
 
Not good at all. She was a big part of our club coming good these last few years
 
A really bad outcome for the club. Initially I wasn't much of a fan but I've come to respect her obvious talent and contribution to WT. Rothfield and Kent were quick to put her down because she wasn't part of their boys club. She would buy and sell them 100 times over. Not sure why the story was released on nrl.com and not the WT site because, reading between the lines, the NRL has quite a bit to do with her reasons for leaving. The challenge is to find a quality, unaligned chair to replace her. I hope they see the value Marina Go has brought to the club and try to replace like with like.
 
Now we see the fall out from the NRL pressure on our club over a minor salary cap infringement. Political and collateral damage.

I thought she was a reasonable contributor, hopefully the next person is someone with a resume to match hers.
 
Pascoe will be back and hopefully learnt his lesson on proper adherence to NRL Policy, Procedure,Guidelines and Governance. I'm certain it won't happen again.
As for Ms Go, she had to.
You cannot come out all guns blazing and then find out you're wrong in almost every utterance. If Pascoe is there then Go won't be missed, unless replaced by somebody from Balmain (Before any nutters start to go off: I'm a supporter of Balmain for over 40 years, but look what they did to the club).

Greenberg has done as much damage to our club as he could over a mistake that was inadvertantly made.He is probably puffing out his chest with a smile on his face now.
He has set a new low in sports administration
 
Ok, what happened here.

Marina Go resigns and the other Independant rep resigns 24 Dec.

Justin Pascoe comes back… Marina's resignation becomes public.

Three ideas:
1\. Marina hated Justin and was maneuvering him out. When he was coming back she resigned.... Kinda doubtful of this as Marina hired Justin, but possible.

2\. The Independent directors were conflicted between the NRL and the WT. As their appointer would be acting against the club they were appointed to run. They don't want to get caught between serving the interests of the NRL and serving the club.

3\. Marina was revealed to be behind the Farah saga. She either fell on her sword to save Justin or similar.

Of all possibilities, I think 2\. The directors may not be that independent and got caught in a legal issue when the WT attacked the NRL for wrongful dismissal of Pascoe.
 
I don't know, it sort of sounded like the way this all went down disillusioned her, and she's leaving because she doesn't want to put up with the rubbish.

So about a week after Pascoe was deregistered, she wants out. She would have talked with Pascoe, he would have told her there was no intent in cheating. She could see NRL honing in on us, and wanted out of the toxic environment.

Good on her for staying 'till we can sort a replacement.

Score another for Toddy, though I sure hope his days in the NRL are numbered and fast running out.
