Thanks Tigerlily, a good read. Brent Read is one of the better journis IMO. it's funny that he was labeled an NRL stooge on this forum a few weeks ago.

@Silentio said:Penrith’s top brass **outsmarted** ours and it left us in a precarious spot.
@Silentio said:I do agree that we’ve come out the other end with a much better coach - but more by luck.
@gallagher said:@Silentio said:Let’s be blunt. She completely failed.
Walking was her only option.
* Salary cap breach
* CEO deregistered
* Coach walks out
* Major turmoil and drama over Robbie Farah sacked, then Jason Taylor sacked then Farah being brought back
* Losing one of our best local juniors (Tedesco) who has gone on to win a premiership, play origin and play for the kangaroos
* Centre of Excellence still not much closer
I don't know if that is all on her but we still have a long way to go as a club. The playing roster hasnt improved under Go and Pascoe either.

@hammertime said:I’m starting to get very scared that we’re going to going to slip back into the poor administration of a leagues club controlled board.
@diedpretty said:The independent board members was a stipulation put in place by the NRL. This was continued but reduced to 2 independents when Wests took control. Both independents have now resigned. I’m not sure that maintaining independent directors on the board is part of WTs corporate governance. Maybe someone in the know could shed some light on this.
