Marina Go resigns Barry O'Farrell appointed

ICAC stated there was no attempt to mislead them, and accepted it was an honest lapse of memory. There was no findings against O'Farrell, who was only there as a witness anyway.

I dont know what an "ICAC Jacket" is, but since your linking it to O'Farrell, it must have something to do with being a cleanskin who was found to have done nothing illegal.

I'll ask you the same question i asked Snake, who is better qualified than O'Farrell to take the position?
 
If the Liberals get back in Government in 2 weeks who would be better placed than BOF to lever political favour for WT.

He was a politician who bent the rules and got punted for it!

Beattie and him were, and probably still are, on the opposite sides of politics so why would he get any favours from the NRL.

Other than being a fan he knows nothing about the way a football club is to be run. Does he know how to market the club, does he know how to recruit, does he know anything about sports management?

The short answer is no!

And how would he get corporate backing?

So why choose another snout in the trough ex politician who thinks he can run a successful football club? Again look how unsuccessful Beattie has been.

But I do agree on your last point we DO NOT need another chairman from Wests or Balmain but we do need a chairman who has a business background and marketing savvy. Not John Singleton but somebody of his ilk.

I know I will cop a beating from some on this forum but hey, everybody is entitled to an option on this forum and I think it was a dud choice.
 
He didn't bend the rules, he didnt get punted, and he is one of the more sort after corporate heads going around.

You're talking for the sake of talking, and getting nothing right in the meantime.

He would have many links to corporate Australian that he has built over his career.

He was Premier and resigned over unintentionally misleading a NSW ICAC investigation. He was found to have had no intention to mislead the investigation.
 
Happy enough to give the guy a go, but let's not try and rewrite his history, which includes creating an untenable position as a state Premier.
 
Refs blowing the whistle already and the game hasn’t even started. It will be interesting to see how they actually do perform this season.

Also a bit of memory loss along the way until prompted by evidence from ICAC which is remarkably similar to the amnesia suffered by Arthur Sinodinos.

No he didn't get punted, and no he wasn't forced to resign.

The whole scandal was that people were shocked he resigned over something so petty and irrelevant.

You need to find another reason not to like him, because the reason you're talking about is a lie.

Maybe for the odd blinkered partisan, whilst for the rest of the community, regardless of political persuasion, he had to go.
