Marquee Signing

We were the better team against the warriors but they had the star player in Walsh. He one the game for them. We simply lack a star player, I mean who was our last marquee signing...Josh Reynolds, Mbye. Don't say Tamou.

My 14yo son can't even tell me his favourite Tigers player.

Will be more of the same this season and next with this squad. We desperately need a star. A superstar even, before anything changes for the good. A backline player that create something from nothing.

We had a crack at Latrell and JAC to no avail, so easier said than done, but nothing will change until we land a real marquee signing

I see us in a very similar position to the raiders in 2017, loosing alot of very close games.
Dont know that we need a superstar but we need a bateman type of signing and say no more about a winger, that'll take us to another level. id be very keen on tpj and isaako.

Yeah, agree, look at Knights & Pongia, Manly & Tommy Turbo, these players change their teams dynamics single handedly.

We’ve been doing that but everyone wants them dropped after an average game or bad gam! They expect perfection from the first game. Laurie is our walsh and Walker.

At this point we have more or hope of unearthing another Benji or Tedesco. I thought we may have had something with Simpkin, but he’s been a big disappointment so far. Especially when you see guys like Walker and Walsh who are a year younger come in and take games by the scruff of the neck.

I am willing to give Jake some time. Walker and Walsh are halves and don’t have the defensive load of a hooker. It may take him some time to adapt. I know we had Harry last year - but he is an out and out freak.

I was starting to see Doueihi as that player who took the game by the scruff of the neck when he played 5/8. He may have overplayed his hand occasionally but the attitude to stand up when the game was on the line was evident. I really cannot understand the Mbye move to 5/8. It’s like we are punishing Doueihi for wanting to take charge? I thought this could be coached and was about letting Brooksy run the team.

Being a hooker would be hard to take the game by the scruff of the neck as a kid?

Tommy Turbo for me, I would make him offer he couldn’t refuse. My expectations would be he would give us the drive and go forward we are currently lacking.
Look what he does to Manly, from easy beats to final 4 since he been on the park.
