Marshall to fullback in 2012?

Why you would move the best 6 in the comp away from the halves is beyond me. Surely a joke. Benji needs the ball in his hands as often as possible and he won't be doing that at fullback.

Then again, with Sheens nothing would surprise me. It could go alongside his other masterstroke ideas such as:

Morris at halfback
Galea at prop
Harrison at prop
Farah at halfback
Lawrence at five eighth
Payne at prop

No way, no.

Benji is almost as bad as Moltzen when it comes to putting his body on the line. Benji should not be moved from 5/8 for as long as he's at the club.

I have said before I like the look of

1\. Marshall (would be great at returning kicks, could get involved as much as he wants in attack (Hodgson used to play like a five eigth when he played full back for us), puts his body on the line in defence.

6\. Lui (his best position, was great in the 20's as a #6)/ Moltzen (his best position)/ Curtis Sironen (Sheens see his best position long term as #6, I still think he would be a great centre)
7\. Miller (an out and out halfback, next year I think he will be ready for full time NRL) / Lui / Moltzen.

Moving Marshall to fullback next year would indicate to me than Sheens thinks Miller could be in the halves next year.

Must have been a slow news day.

I'll bet lefty Moltzen will be our fullback in 2012, as much I think Brown should be…

Hahaha ridiculous idea.

Marshall is an international standard 5/8th. Moving him would weaken two positions. Dont believe this for a second.

Guys the word **Full back** without a space is on a auto capture list it seems - The Masters of the forum will resolve soon.

Interesting if true though I would seriously doubt this one.

As much as I want to see Miller at 7 all this indicates to me is that Sheens is just as uncomfortable with Moltzen at 1 as everyone else. Any bets Moltz 7, Lui 6, Marshal 1 and Miller NSW and future Australian 7 for another team just so we can keep the team happy!

McKinnon has proved that even a slow aging natural full back beats a improvised full back any day. Theirs a lot more to the gig than catching running and tackling. Theirs the positional play and the directing of the defensive line. Hard to gain these skills over a short period of time. Anyway will not happen, you might move the world's no1 fullback to play no6 but you never move the world's no1 "6" to play no1 if you get my drift

I like this… Galea Payne and Harrison played more games in the backrow than they did at Prop

But I agree Marshall at fullback would be a waste

I remember Bob Fulton once said a few years ago Benji would make a great fullback, he would have all that space to step and run, but he wouldnt be able to get involved as much with the ball is the problem

Completely ridiculous in my opinion, why would you want the best player in your side seeing less ball and being less involved. Benji is also coming off a year were he won the Golden Boot award at 5/8 so why on earth would you now change his position to something completely different. The other thing is that other teams would be able to take him out of matches at will by putting up high balls and putting big hits on.
