Geo has been putting up stats saying his kicking is not bad, well we tried to tell him it sucked, tonight proved it, if it wasn't already confirmed

That is actually not what I said at all but never mind..

It definitely cost us yesterday's game..

After last night and missed goals last week against manly, Marsters is very down on confidence with the boot. Coming up against Broncos I hope Madge has a new plan, or hopefully Rhyse joins us this week.

Think we need an old fashioned kick off at training this week involving the entire squad including the ball kids. If anyone lands one from in front they get the job.

You can see Marsters confidence is at an all time low. He's playing so poorly. can we drop him?

I noticed when we scored the last try and all the players were hugging, masters was looking for the ball to kick the conversion but he looked overly keen while asking for it, as if he just wanted to get the kick done as soon as possible….nerves, not what you need.

Don't talk about it , still not over last nights game, not sure if i want to watch another tigers game this year. What i witnessed was a comical joke by so called professionals

Starting to effect his confidence. Disagree wholeheartedly with people saying he should be dropped. Agree wholeheartedly that he should never have to line up another conversion.

He was terrible.
Looked lost.

We could've won if he had any ability.
Shame.

He is our stop gap kicker ….. no more than that.
With goal kicking you either have the natural talent that you can carry easily with your main attributes or you are a manufactured kicker who will often deliver results like what we saw last night. Trouble is that for such players often when their goal kicking falls apart the rest of their game also goes down the toilet

Marsters is a young man with great potential who should be concentrating to develop more important aspects of this game than kicking.

Supporters of the traitor's team were no doubt talking about Edwards leading into and during this game. He was given a chance, failed and change was made. Similar circumstances on the other side of the field, but no change was made after two poor attempts.

One of those went on to score a try that got his team a shot at golden point, whilst the other had already had a near miss on his third attempt that would have already put the game out of reach. Everyone has a bad day, or even a bad run and forms part of that which a coach manages. This is on Madge, not the player.

When are we going to get a good deflection of an upright, as it seems they never bounce through?

Marsters goal kicking has always been very ordinary. Sure he has weeks where he gets 5/5 or 5/6, but most of them are when the majority of kicks are closet to the posts. EG, I believe he kicked 4/4 vs Manly.

His goalkicking that last 3 weeks (including the warriors game) has been very ordinary. He has missed 5 very gettable kicks in a row, and against Warriors he kicked roughly 5/8, but again the 5 he got were all next to the posts and he missed all the hard ones.

I don't know if Mbye is any better but we need to take it off him so he can concentrate on footy. As everyone has said, he kicks it so high and slow, and it just gives it more time to drift.

Most comments are emotional - can understand that. However….

* Masters was given the job because we had nobody else.
* He does his best, it is nowhere near good enough, we know that.
* We have nobody better to give the kicking duties to.
* Mbye obviously has a knee problem (see it in general play) so can't kick obviously.
* Missed kicks are not doing Masters general play any good either.
* Those that think he should be dropped for Momirovski - should think again.
* It is Jennings that should be dropped for Momirovski (he let the try in).
*Where do you get an 85% kicker at this time of the season, anything less is not on.

I'll call for the same changes again this week that I wanted last week.

Drop Mbye and Jennings - they have had three chances now and are not playing to first grade standard. Eisenhuth...No ...bring back Mikaele.

I know this is not going to go down well. but I think Esan has a profile and reputation he doesn't deserve. And, I think his goal kicking is an example of what I think is his weakness; very little attention to detail. He needs a good (proverbial, not literal) smack around the ears to remind him that he is only a few lackluster games from NSW Cup.

I agree and I'm not just jumping on the bandwagon because of the goals he missed.
I don't think he's all that great of a player, yes he makes post contact meters and breaks tackles and offloads etc but he rarely makes a clean line break or does something classy to set up his winger.
His offloads aren't the type where he's putting players into the backfield, their more second faze offloads out the back, not attacking line threatening offloads.

I'm not sure he's a centre to be honest, but he's not a backrower either.

Hugh Hugh Hugh all will be good within a few days and our minds will be on the broncos game for Thursday. I use to get real down with loses like this one, just take it in your stride.
I’m really in the coaches boots and think they really had a crack but execution let us down. Think we’re moving forward although it might not feel it.

I think it is a bit harsh to say he is playing so poorly. I agree he has lost confidence in his goal kicking and makes his usual 2 errors every game but he is still a very potent attacking weapon. Is there any better centres in the lower grades to replace him?
I think we have to persevere with him and look for an alternate kicker in the meantime.

Masters is another in the wrong attitude player group his general play is garbage and his attitude towards goal kicking the same … next week ISP ... Momo in Mbye kicking .

I have seen Farah kick a couple of winning field goals. I am sure that he would have kicked the winner last night.

That's exactly how Marsters got the goal kicking job. Cleary found that we did not have a goal kicker. He lined up four potential kickers for a goal kicking competition. Marsters won and became the Wests Tigers goal kicker.

The only goalkicker we have who is striking the ball as clean as anyone is Gamble, who coincidentally has been playing centre this season in Canterbury Cup - plus he's been going ok. Even if Marsters isn't dropped, Jennings has been ordinary and could make way to give Gamble a go and he could then have the kicking duties.

Well what does this mean
As a centre I would probably only want Latrell Mitchell ahead of Marsters in my team but that’s me…

Ironically Mitchell kicks at 73% overall which is almost identical to Marsters…maybe his miss by less or something
