Mason Cerruto gone to the Eels

Named in the centres for the Eels NYC squad to face us this week.

Thought he showed potential. Decent size and speed but never settled on a position. One of, if not our only NYC backs over 90kgs.

Considering our drastic shortage of outside backs in NSW Cup, and the possible promotion of more players from NYC to NSW Cup it makes very little sense to release him mid season. End of season if we don't see a path ok, but mid season leaves us very short on cover across the grades.

That appears to be the club's focus for the next couple of years. I hope they by 2017 they at least have 13 players of first grade ability left.

Not too fussed.
He played his best games at fullback and is way behind Tedesco in that regard. And probably behind Marshall-King too.

the kid had class, just another stuff up from taylor and his staff, funaki how cerruto who will be next, or just let every bubby go, getting really tired of players leaving and no one coming in.

Disappointed we let him go. From what I've seen he's a hard runner with good speed and a good finisher.

He is a Tedesco Clone, I would have had him in the centres for firsts in the coming years. Teddy at the back, Cerruto Seve centres with Nofa Simona on the flanks.

If the club is going to release a player at least have a clause that prevents him playing against his old club in the first month or so, the second NYC player released in a month, what's doin'?.

Could this be another Brendan Santi deal….?
He'll be back in two years.
Hopefully.

If we are that worried about him we wouldn't have let him go…...

He had an absolute shocker last game against the Sea Eagles and dropped the ball a few times against the bunnies

Well done Mason Cerruto first game in the centres for the Eels showed he has ability & strength - just another stuff up by Kimmorley I'm starting to wonder if he can get anything right, he was never a stand out player & he's even less impressive as a coach…..I have a feeling this will be another decision Tigers will regret Kimmorley needs to have a good long look at his coaching technique - at the very least he's just not up to it

What coachina technique?
It's obvious he says being our U20s coach as just being a part time gig that comes second to his Fox Sports commitments.

As for Cerruto though I maintain that we aren't losing much.
