Enough. I have nothing personal against anyone in our roster but to say he was good is just showing how bad our roster is. He managed to stay upright during a few tackles, was solid in defence. That's it. C'mon guys, he never tackle busts, he doenst give regular fast play the balls, he doesn't lay people on their backs, doesnt have a good pass, doesnt offload and doesnt make big meters.

He played 61 minutes after not playing for 8 months. He made 116m - the only forward better was Aloiai with 135. He made 49 post contact metres, a tackle break, an offload and 40 tackles at 91% efficiency. His play the ball speed was about the same as the rest of the team.

I disagree with you, I consider that a good game.

I haven't eaten humble pie yet but I definitely have my spoon in hand. Good performance against the doggies.

I have always thought he was too similar to Twal to have them both.

Both work...and work...give you 100.

But never physically dominate.

Given Twal is hurt though, would be very happy to see Huth get given that 13 role.

Going forward Twal whilst doing a good job at the moment should not be our 13, we need to find a Murray, Brown, Radley, Yeo, Elliott type player who has some ball skills and hunts around the ruck

Mcintyre

while I agree, I'm not entirely sure Madge likes players in the 13 of that mould. see Twal and Eisenhuth, and the signing of Blore.

He has some aggression in him doesn't he! How old is he?

Still can't understand why Madge was pushing Clark and Seyfarth over Huth

With the roles they fill the Huth is 100% better than both

They're different roles and reasons for selection though Hap. Clark will come on and tackle his backside off for 20 mins. Hardly makes a dent with the ball, but will do a job. I'm comfortable with the role Clark plays.

Seyfarth is below first grade standard, but probably deserved his chance due to hard training. This sends a positive message to the rest of the squad and I think it has served it's purpose this season.

The Huth deserves praise for the last 2 games. But without the above actions in selecting Clarke and Seyfarth before him I don't think you would have got the same effort out of Eisenhuth as what we've seen the last 2 weeks. Well done Madge.

Can only judge him on who was in front of him. Worked hard for an hour, the Dogs pack are a hard running lot. Tackled his ring out and ran well. Anyone complaining about his lack of power needs to forget about him ever developing it. Not every forward will be a power forward.

If he is the guy you have to fill in when your first choice lock goes down he is a good alternative.

22 I think, has really grown his body since coming to the WT a few years ago

I think that Matts improved playing has to be put down to very good coaching and giving the bloke a chance to prove what he has learnt at training under Madge..
I personally think Matt has a lot to offer, its a matter of Madge getting the best out of him and how he wants Matt to play ….

He had some venom in his runs last night. I could get used to seeing that. Was and has been very good in his defense as well.

Maybe, he looked good last night

Matt reminds me of a Clydesdale meandering up to the line...People have short memories it wasn’t that long ago formers wanted him gone (waste of cap space and all)...My personal opinion is he isn’t aggressive enough and doesn’t use his size to his advantage...His only playing for a contract at this stage somewhere, fingers crossed it’s not us - no more plodders

They can't all be a Taumalolo or Taupau.

Eisenhuth is serviceable as a fringe first grader to fill the breach when a top 17 player gets injured. He's done a job well in lieu of Twal. It would be good to hang on to him at the right price to fill in when needed.

Taupau not as effective anymore-no longer the biggest dog around. Younger big guys like Fonua Blake highlighting the difference.

Probably not a popular opinion but I would look at extending him. He is very much suited to the speed of the game with the new rules.

Sometimes a player just needs to start and with that gets stronger each game .. I must say the improvement is there and I would start him every week and at worst on the bench !

He was our best tonight by some margin. It was a really hard physical game and he was the best forward on the park and Riff have some good forwards

Like his hands in the middle, and has a great work-rate.

Always happy to have him in the 17 somewhere.
