And

Let the broncos suffer. Its their stupid contract.

I would like to see them see it through as we were forced to.in these recent years.

Excuse me....Lodge learnt all his stuff as a junior in the Melbourne Storms system..

Even wanted to punch Bellyache out in the car park...

Tigers jnr....pffft

Blame Ivan. He is a Panther junior and went to the Storm.

On the Lodge thing, its a hard no. Although he has a fair bit of baggage (the New York thing and the domestic violence before that) so do some of our current players (Musgrove,etc.). Not making excuses but he was under 20 at the time and has obviously grown up and matured a lot since them.
My hard no comes from the injuries, the rule changes, the contract and the simple fact that we have already been there, done that with this bloke. Beside dead set keen to see what we do with Tamou, Stefano, Tom and Zane do. I know I left Packer out but he hasn't justified his salary, injuries aside, I believe it'll be more of the same, prove me wrong big fella.

Musgrove was found not guilty and Packer served his time.

This clown was guilty and did not pay the penalty - should not have been allowed to play NRL ever again.

Sorry Russell but I though Zane plead guilty for the May 2018 thing and was found guilty of the October 2018 thing. If I'm wrong I apologise, either way I agree he's paid for it and I'm keen to see him run around 2021.Merry Christmas champ.

Yeah Tigers juniors tend not to find anger in their hearts ...just compassion and empathy ...not the the best pre requisites of a hard headed prop you want that will tear the comp apart piece by bloody piece

If your a tigers junior you want to leave the club asap ???

I would spew if he pushed out one of our forwards who have tried hard to turn things around at our club, people say Lodge has a terrible history but we have a couple of players who have a questionable past, most club's have at least one loose cannon but enough is enough. Let's stick with what we have and form a tight knitted squad, resign our most talented players like nofa for at least 2 years from now so Madge can coach them to a top 4. Releasing players and changing the guard too often depletes team harmony, so sorry Mr Lodge, the bus is full and we've got a better driver!

I disagree.

People say Joe Ofanague is the upgrade to Alolai, nah he is more of what we need. Were down 2 good forwards and our locals have not stood up.
Remember our first game against Parra? It was good because both sides went 100%
We smashed them, they smashed us, both teams were hurt and bruised and went on to lose a lot of games after that.
Had we played NZ first, we would have won against Todd Payten's men easily.

We were trashed.

We were absolutely trashed by a stronger Parramatta team. Sure they have Paulo, Matterson, RCG, etc. But we could not recover after that match it was our season turning point.

Ideally we should get Angus Crichton or similar. We have tried developing our own. It hasn't worked out as well as we have hoped. We still need muscle up front and there is room for everyone. Particularly when you talk forwards you want spare props you want a spare second rower on the bench.

we did not make the top 8 because our best could not go full throttle against Parra. We have to hire from the outside. i am not going to rule out Matt Lodge, but hoping for Crichton.

Gee some harsh judgements for a player that does not play for us, where is all this frustration coming from???

We should trust the Club to make the right call on players, they talk about bringing a new culture do you honestly think that WT would even peruse the notion of signing lodge.

Yes he stuffed up in the states and i am sure he regrets it now.
Its unfortunate the Media will never let him live it down for the rest of his life and this is what he will always be remembered for no matter what he does in the future.

Nevertheless he also has the right to move on and change his life for the better, i am sure that Packer most likely thinks similar with his prior situation.

A second chance doesn’t mean you’re in the clear. In many ways, it is the more difficult thing, because a second chance means that you have to try harder. You must rise to the challenge without the blind optimism of ignorance.

What a load of crap. The guys had more than enough chances. He should have been punted and stayed punted. Playing league is a privilege. He doesn't deserve to maintain that privilege.

Are you serious ? Not only did the guy stuff up , but he never really paid anything close to the consequences he should have because he dad is high up in the NSW Police .. this continued into both the broncos and panthers lobbying the NRL to reinstate him. Not to mention how abysmal his actual footy was last year . If you can’t see how there’s something morally bankrupt around this kid, whether it be the enabling parents , to greedy football offices, to most importantly the guy himself , then you need to have a look at yourself .

Also as a caveat , I’m usually against racial politics , as I think they’re a waste of time and promote division rather than inclusion , but this happened in the US.
There’s no way if Matt’s skin colour was black , he wouldn’t be currently in a maximum security prison in upstate New York .
Like I said , it’s pretty disgusting the whole thing .

Linking Lodge to Wests Tigers, a club which now has so many good props, is stupid and obscene. The club could spend their money so much more wisely on the many (non prop) players available now and in the near future..

Why is it our problem when he is not contracted to our club, a lot of wasted energy on a player that is currently paid overs at the broncos.

Sounds like you don't like Lodge fair enough.
Although unsure why your so concerned when he is at the Broncos and WT won't be looking at him.
