Like the OP i thought he was very very good. Most refreshing commentary in years.

Who give a you know what if he was nervous and got a few names wrong. That wont last but his modern and fresh style will.

Yeah,i can handle 'momentum' thou.,its when the commentators start throwing in 'pressure' every few minutes that i start to loose interest.

Couldnt agree more. Voss tries the comedy dribble, Ray Warren is past it and his verbal crap with Gould is annoying. I actually like Warren Smith or Brenton Speed. Just callers, a bit of excitement but not all the fanfare. But they need to know a fair bit about the game and players individually. I think thats why i said I'd hold off judgement for now.

I didnt know what to expect from him but i thought he was pretty good….not sure about Buderus as a caller....thought he was pretty average. Blocker is blocker....love him or hate...i actually like him....doesnt take himself too serious in commentary.

They went to comm cam at a few stages…..nable looked like Brad Pitt to me. Blocker looked like an old Italian Mafia character to me. The smiling Buderus in the middle of the two. His call reminded me of a Joel Caine I'd say.

I get that Vossy isn't everyone's cup of tea but he calls the game like an excited kid because that is what the game does to him. He is the epitome of a footy fan. That's why I like him, he breathes the game and has an uncontrollable passion for it even if he is too OTT at times, it's not the type of OTT "look at me I'm league royalty" crap you get from Rabs.

Warren Smith is a frustrated Yank-wannabe IMO. Terms like deeeefence and backfield need to be left alone. He references NFL, NBL or baseball every game without fail, apart from being an ex-Balmain supporter he has not many redeeming features as a commentator, would fit in nicely at the Daily Tele alongside Boozy Buzz.
Blocker is very knowledgable about RL, don't mind listening to him. He is insightful amongst the bulldust.
Badge has been given the flick this year, he was pretty good. Glad Brandy disappeared into the ether.
Justin Hodges needs to be eradicated-any ex player who still refers to our main medal as Daily M needs to be moved along…the bloke is a dullard.

I like Vossy, and Blocker for all his knockers is very astute when assessing the game.
