Matthew Johns

You'd rather he say it behind his back? He said what alot of supporters are thinking even if you don't. Wests tigers aren't above criticism you know. Besides Robbie handled it. Showed some passion as well. Pass it on rob.

Maybe some home truths sting hard for our players

And to be fair, the only viewers that would complain about that segment would be Tigers fans - made for good viewing.

calling blokes soft is not the role of the commentator or analyst, missing too many tackles in the middle of the ruck may be a fair criticism, or being poorly disciplined etc….

calling blokes soft is just a cheap pot shot.

Soft players get found out well before NRL, there is a difference between being outplayed and being soft

Matthew Johns , has on many occasions stated that he was a mad Tigers fan as kid …..... Judging by his commentary over the last few years he is still a fan to some degree ....... His questioning if Robbie Farah to me sounded more like a disgruntled fan ,then tv commentator .

I appreciate Matty johns and his no BS, but the bloke needs to get his ego in check and show some respect.

I'll admit that I don't like Matt Johns or Mark Geyer. I find it ironic that they're so opinated given their backgrounds, the old phrase people in glasshouses springs to mind.

The point of the post. Does anyone remember the wailing and the gnashing of teeth when Matt Johns, one of Newcastle's (self-proclaimed) favourite sons was forced to the leave the club and head over to England? To somehow suggest that Robbie Farah is acting like a spolit child in comparsion to that fiasco is a little hard to take.

That was pure gutter from Johns, not the tigers are soft call because that is his opinion but deliberately trying to get a rise from Farah on the Benji and Robbie hate each other non-issue. Unless I see on next weeks show other players getting the same treatment, I'll know it was something personal from Johns. Pure gutter, he probably has a job at the Telegraph lined up.

RMS He already writes a colomn for the Terrorgraph. He fits right in with them.

Deep down Farah knows where soft, whats he gonna say 'oh yeah your right where soft we suck ' yeah me and Benji hate each other and dont talk.

If Robbie wanted to get back under Matt Johns skin he should of keep saying "Yeah , your right Andrew" "Yep totally correct ,Andrew"

I didn't mind it at all. Everyone on here was spinning the same questions behind their keyboards since the loss, yet MJ asks the questions bluntly an straight to the point and now a lot of people are saying its disrespectful. TBH I found SOME of Robbie's answers pretty silly. Matty - "your defence was soft" - Robbie "but did you see our scramble". Um, well if they weren't breaking the line constantly you wouldn't need to scramble.

The question about him and Benji, he did give a good answer with a blunt and firm message that it was not the case.

Instead of pussy-footing around with the 'softness' issue. Just admit they've been soft and they're gunna fix it. That's all the fans wanna know.

It was a good interview, he stuck it to Rob what the fans wanted to hear and Robbie has now said replied on tv and out of the papers where all the crap gets made up.

he didnt call robbie soft.. he said the performance was soft..
i think you'd have rocks in your head if you disagree.. it was soft..

He's realy starting to give Andrew Moore a run as the biggest armchair critic in the media

I'm with you mate, whenever we lose especially as we have been, most people on here are jumping up and down and saying a lot more worse things then some of the questions Matthew Johns asked.

I find it more respectful that Johns asked him those questions in person then some people on here who make comments when the players can't defend themselves in this environment.

At least Robbie had the chance to stand up for himself when Johns made those comments.

I have no problems with Johns asking these questions because it's what the fans want to know.
