Matty johns show

If he goes, good luck to him. We'll miss him, yes, but no player is bigger than the team and the drift we're currently getting is that he feels he is bigger than the team. Why? Because he's basically waving his arms around about an extension even though there 2 years still to run on the current deal.

I think the quote is being misinterpreted about the All Blacks. He said he wanted to when he was younger before league but there's no mention he does now.

In all honesty he's still trying to overplay his hand so I'm not sure training is the best thing for him at the moment. A good break away from the media/footy would do him a world of good.

I'm sure he would be a good mentor for Moses/Brooks. Just because he's mentoring them doesn't mean they will make as many mistakes and it may add more dimension to their game.

Nothing shattering there, but Tallis said it best, if Benji trying to sort his form out why is he in Bali and not with the team?

Following a disappointing game last Friday night, I thought the team would be spending the next fourteen days trying to get the necessary improvement they need to win their next game. Did the whole team go to Bali with Benji? If not, is Benji part of the team or not?

training this week will be via skype

A mates brother in law is on the coaching staff at the waratahs. He says thay have no interest in Benji at all. So will be interesting to see what comes of these rumours

This is all a farce. I can't imagine anyone at Rugby would want him and would want to pay the money for a guy who's more than likely to fail at achieving anything there…......he's not killing it or doing well at the moment in a sport he's been playing for years, can't imagine how bad things could be going to a different code.

He's got another 2 years on the contract, why do things have to be sorted out now? can't they wait till next year when the side should be more settled and hopefully with far less injuries?

I find this to be strange , Benjis whole life revolves around our game..Benjis wife's column in the Tele revolves around our game. Am I missing something unless he is off to another country (Japan) to make Millions ..good luck to him….I don,t see how he would walk away not only from the club but all that makes the life of Benji.
On his trip away good luck to him there is a lot to be said to getting poolside massages and cocktails a nightly turn down service with an orchard and chocolate on the pillow , sometimes this is actually what's needed all the guys are having a break ,after reading what I have written I think a short break in Phuket is required!

Tauber just playing his stupid games again , call his bluff Tigers

Smoking Gun things may be as you say , still doesn't change the facts that Marshall is horribly out of form and not worth whatever deal he made with Humphreys

No different from the real world , a new boss comes in changes things up personnel and business strategy wise

If you are happy you stay and not happy you suck it up and stay and get with the program or you leave Can't be an easier than that

Benji cant kick the footy. He would be a massive bust in union. But hey if they want to take him off our hands, more power to them. They might be interested in a package deal….i can think of two busted wingers a forward with low work rate and a couple of journey bits and pieces players I would throw in for free.

And a ex head coach and defensive coach to boot Larry

Gets them both off the books

C'mon! A whole orchard in the bedroom? Where would they fit all those fruit trees?

I think it's unrealistic for Benji to expect a whole orchard in his bedroom. Maybe he should stop focusing on fruit and more on his holiday.

I may have this wrong, but didn't Benji get married in the pre sason and postpone his honeymoon. If so this bye round may have been pencilled in for the honeymoon and approved long ago by the powers that be.

I think he missed some pre season training….but he made up for it elsewhere???
Remember the debtae about Anasta wanting to play golf but they wouldnt let him

The coach of nsw waratahs said on fox sports news there not talking to Benji Marshall.

This kills me this. I really doubt that any rugby club would want him.

I think rugby wanting him is his manager calling them up and telling them he'd go great in Union and then telling Benji that they want you.

The waratahs would not have anywhere near the cash to sign him, knowing the guys who make the decisions on recruitment at the Waratahs, id be surprised if they had any interest.
Peter Fitzsimmons is a long way removed from the current set up at the waratahs, he'd have no more inside info than anyone else, all his rugby mates are no longer involved in rugby any more.

I just can't see Marshall going to the Waratahs in any world I live in. He is just not the player they are looking for. This is good work by his management fueling speculation to try to get the club to panic and pay more for his client.
