Mayer set to resign

Rumour has it that Barry O'Farrell is attempting to work his way onto the Bulldogs board. Considering he was pictured with a few Canterbury directors at the Manly V Dogs game a few weeks ago, I don't think the rumour is to far off the mark.

what would be the motivation for O'farrell to take up a bulldogs position.

Well I was told there was a lot of Rugby union bigwigs out there that night too and I was under the impression that BOF was jockeying for a top Rugby position like ceo of ARU.

The first page of this thread has the mole getting his knickers in a twist because someone is going to resign
& then Cartwright and searle resigns from the Gold Coast

Where are the Tigers mentioned anywhere???

From RLW facebook page,,, :unamused:

The Mole @RLW_Mole now
BREAKING: There will be a resignation very soon @Wests_Tigers peeps…
And NO - it's not Robbie Farah

Look if this is even remotely true if anyone could be about to resign I reckon it might be Todd Payten

He has probably gone from next in line to not wanted very quickly according to all the press

There are obviously issues within management and angst between players/coach and management.
A part of the CEO's role is to back/support the club.
If Robbie's comments were not put on web site then questions need to be asked and the buck stops with the CEO.
With the state of the club currently I know who I would prefer to keep, Robbie.
I grew up with the tiger era of the 60-80's and the club was in much better shape and we still had a Leagues club.
Great interview with Robbie on Footy Show. Answered many questions. Good on you Robbie!

looks like mayer hired blocker back into the club. he also forgets that the money from the interview went to dwyer and that tallis hasn't said anything for two weeks?!?! robbie hasn't said anything publicly for two weeks and has his say last night and gets lambasted by this slob?

Blocker clearly doesn't listen to triple m if he thinks Tallis hasn't said anything for 2 weeks .

He hasn't stopped talking about it & triple m have been milking it daily .

Even last night Tallis was again taking the moral high ground . And finished with saying that Robbie could ring him if he wanted to sort it out . He's like the Fonz and can't accept that he was wrrrr …

Please take this fat waste of space as far away from the club as possible, and when he gets there take him away some more. Still living in the 80's, and he's a PAID employee of the club for Gods sake. SMH.

Just like Farah is a paid employee - they are both in the wrong for commenting publicly but Blocker is a part time employee who at least is willing to risk his job to have his say and he has earned the right to have an opinion even if I don't nessecarily agree with it without you trolls throwing personal abuse at him

I got no problem with roach having his say.

He works for the club and he would have a better understanding of what's going on inside the joint than anybody on here would.

He might not have a double digit IQ but he loves the club with a passion, and I would rather hear blocker speak his mind than the usual clichéd one liners you get from everyone else.

He has basically echoed what many supporters think, giving both barrels to all parties involved and saying enough with the bullsh*t, let's just play footy.

Has anyone considered the fact that Mayer was doing what he was told by his employers … I know that might be a lot for some to digest.

Considering what has been bandied around about mike bailey's role in the saga, your probably on the money.

this whole saga started as a result of the mid year Brian Smith review….why on earth did this review have to take place when the clubs focus should've been to make the semis is beyond me....surely such a review should have taken place AFTER the seasons completed....surely this is Mayers domain!

I don't really think conducting a mid-year review of the operations is a problem. Like, what are they really going to review in the off-season?

The problem with all this from my perspective is the 'reaction' by factors within the club. Obviously some factors/power-bases were not happy this was looking into there domain, and consequently reacted by releasing information or making a song and dance about this.

The problem isn't the review… The problem is the leaks and people playing shit out in the media. For this to get so out of control, its obvious to me there more than 1 person who needs to be moved on!

I got shot down mentioning the commissioning, timing and authority conducting the supposed review was a waste of time and done for the sake of stirring up a hidden agenda. Destined for no good. To those that were supporting it, can you see why it's just not on.

I think you'll find that it was at the request of the NRL for a review of football operations to take place for the incoming NRL directors…which is fine IMO...

What is not fine as Watto points out... is that the findings of the review found it's way into the press
