Mayer set to resign

If the whispers about what Farah had to say about Mayer in the sit down interview with Gus are are true, then Mayer's a dead man walking. There's no way both will stay at the club beyond this yr if he's thrown Mayer under the bus.

I do not know how many times that I have to say it. If you people would just stop talking about this crap it would go away. So stop. Please. Wait until you hear something official from the club and do not, repeat, do not, believe anything that is on the social media garbage.

I think your right. Start a topic, a good talking point, something that would interest the forum goers more. I'll add to it.

If he throws anyone on the executive level under the bus he should be sacked!

Meanwhile….
- New sleeve sponsor on board a few weeks back.
- Last week the Club announced Meriton staying on for another year.
- This week, ISRI has upgraded it's contract with the club, Will also feature on Ressies Jumpers.

CEO don't look like he's doing too bad to me....
Oh, I'm sorry.... He offended our Hooker by not sticking up for him fast enough against some shoddy journos'.... Not like he's got anything else to do.

If Farah had kept his Trap shut instead of talking shite to an inbred ex-footballer with the brain the size of meat ant, He wouldn't need defending from a bloke who is in charge of getting in the money to pay his Salary....

What next, Does he want Mayer to run onto the field and start breaking up fights?
Or will he need Mayers Dad to ring Gordies Dad and tell him to stop picking on him....

No no no. The CEO is only responsible for the bad things that happen. These kind of things just materialize out of thin air.

Is there a reason he's a journeyman CEO?

As far as I read, He was only CEO of Manly and they won the comp at the time.
Otherwise he has just been in admin.

Manly are known for their stealy resolve, If GM can incorporate that at our club with the talent we have… I'll take it in large doses!!

If this is all true about Farah - bagging out the CEO and the executives - as much as it pains me to say it -

Farah should be the one sacked.

Unpopular opinion probably - however no player is bigger than the team. Period.

I'm a Wests Tigers fan first and foremost.

No matter how nice a horse you are.

High profile players come and go... The club is the only constant!!

Why? Is there some holy writ that members of the executive are always in the right and beyond reproach?

Having said that, I doubt he will be throwing anyone under a bus; stating that he was disappointed Mayer didnt come out and support him - if that is all there is - is not that.

That's correct. I wonder who all those who are calling for Mayer's head would rather have as CEO - Humphreys or Mayer? The same with the coaching who would they rather have Sheens or Potter? If it's Sheens then why did most of them want Sheens out two years ago?

What this club is carving is stability. What most of the fans are craving is instant success. Sorry, but you can't have success without club stability. Therein lies the current two year problem old problem with Wests Tigers.

I'll throw up a curve ball… If Mayer resigns, I would like the club to approach big Barry O'Farrell as a potential replacement CEO.

- He has corporate and political connections that most clubs would be envious of.
- He is a die hard fan who would have the JV interest at heart.
- And most importantly, if he can handle running an entire state, handling a fractious board full of dinosaurs should be a piece of cake for him.

And I'll get in early here... Yes we have heard all the wine jokes, and No he was not found to be corrupt in any way by ICAC or anybody else (read the findings).

Board of Directors yes, but not CEO.

I'd aim for someone like Rod Macqueen who has corporate clout and understands the operations of a football club.

As well intended as that is you just have to read the political section of the forum …unfortunately Barry would be burnt at the stake in the middle of Concord oval Eddy Obied would be more welcome!

I know John Brogden was in the mix when Humphreys got the job. Not sure how he has gone professionally since, but I think he has plenty to offer.

I commented last night that I think O'Farrell would be great for the new Board.
