Mbye

I think he is a classy player. After such a long break, his timing was probably off and it may take a few games to regain full confidence.

He will improve week to week. I reckon he will be a different level in a month

1st game in 10 mths he has a try assist, makes 20 tackles and keeps his edge safe and leads us to victory and takes over the goal kicking. Some have agendas

I think someone said it earlier , we have our strike centre in Joey now . Moses just needs to be a leader , own his side , maintain line speed and lead our now very young team . He’s also extremely dynamic and looks likely. I don’t know what it is that you guys want ? He’s a centre who is paid like a fullback at the moment. So what . We have 2 mil of our cap looking like they’re never playing first grade again.

This is our club captain we are talking about I think every 1 needs to get behind him he is always trying his hardest and makes the rite decision 99% of the time he is our only origin player hopefully he gets more games under his belt this year

You don't just get a captain pin on your Jersey and immediately get the fans respect mate. We've sat through cold drizzle losses for decades with this team. He'll get our respect when he deserves it. Benji, Robbie...ok. Moses mbye? Who is he?

Mbye wouldn't be a perceived problem if you could divorce him from the wages.
He is a talented footballer, a current State of Origin player, and always gives his best.
And he brings lots to the team from his work ethic and leadership.

Mbye’s first six months with us were pretty good. I was a fan from the start. He lost it in the last game of that 2018 season against Souths when the team basically gave up trying and capitulated (51-10). You could see it on his face. He’s never been the same since. He talks the talk and goes through the motions but that’s all.

His performances since that last game of 2018 have been meh, he just does the minimal required now. I don’t believe Mbye’s heart is in it anymore at the Wests Tigers and he is just enjoying the financial reward he brokered with Ivan. I would love him to get back to the 2018 form, I just don’t see it happening. Maybe when Mbye’s contract is up for renewal he will again put in the extra effort, sad really.

Thread is kind of pointless, save it for when he's off contract. Whether or not he's overpaid for his role, we have to pay him what we agreed and his role is definitely first-grade standard, of which there should be no argument.

Also people keep forgetting the original salary contributions by Bulldogs, which lowers his average over the period of the contract.

Except from dummy half,, anyone recall Mbye getting a ball? Highest paid player....

Our outside backs have seen next to no ball in the two games so far unless it's been a dirty hit up.

He shouldn't be our captain. Why? He hasn't earnt it.

100%.

It showed me west’s have zero legacy and lack of quality when he was made captain. Even co captain boggles the mind. He can be an over paid player, west’s have a history of those, but don’t put the C after his name. It’s embarrassing.

Still can’t believe he’s the captain but who else is there ?
We lack leadership.

Twal should be getting groomed for that role.
