Couple of quotes from Mbye today blow my mind

“I got ahead of myself after a couple of wins” - mate we beat nobody and were running 13th

"I'm just grateful that I get to come in here and be around my friends and play the sport I love playing," - that’s an absolute insult to fans and members when you’re taking home the bulk of our salary cap.

GO AWAY!

Sack him!

I can’t believe the Tigers, knocked back the Dragons taking this year, Madge should be hung out to dry on that alone

Because we’d just moved him to 5/8 where he played his best games since joining the club. But being a Monday morning QB is the easiest job in the world.

No they shouldn't, you don't just give a player away

They are not giving a player away, they are letting someone else take over his payments although there would be some loss. Like Kenny Rodgers says you’ve got to know when to hold them, know know when to fold them, know when to walk away, know when to run. They should have ran.Now I don’t think anyone would touch him the horse has bolted.

Take over the payments? We would have been paying him around $800k a year to play for the Dragons, that is giving him away. I would love to play poker against you.

The Tigers would not have been paying $800,000, the NRL approves every contract & would not approve St George to pay less than minimum payments for a first grade player. The Tigers have already paid a large percentage of his contract as the league season is deemed to start on Nov 1

What about next year? It is a fact, the Dragons were trying to get him on the cheap, it would have been dumb for us to take that deal.

Different people have different standards & different expectations, I personally don’t believe his best is good enough, I would rather see the club being a premiership contender rather than just receive a participation badge.

Agree, better to keep him if its not the right terms

Sorry mate, but you need to think about how a contract would work?

If he was on $800k per season, we would pay an agreed amount (between us and the other party) and the other party would pay the balance to the value of $800k, between them and us, Mbye would not lose any money.

That said, I hope he stays now.

Absolutely unbelievable Mbye has said the smashing by the Storm was purely attitude.

Season on the line...v the best team...everything to play for...and you now say no one was up for it mentally.

And the coach basically picks the same team again after it.

Honestly, we are a joke of a club for these reasons.

Yes the Coach did pick basically the same team again, what alternative did he have? There is nobody in the reggies that is ready for First Grade.

Cattle issue for Madge. We have the bones of a good forward pack in years to come.

In this players case I'm resigned to the fact that Mbye were stuck with a Marquee that never aimed up.

**Mbye (our former Captain) will be the next Corey Norman or Milford,**

Milked a club to the detriment of his future - #Unwanted

There are several players in firsts who can't tackle...and just got smashed two games straight.

There are several players in reggies who are playing well and deserve a chance. You can't have a club where failure is constantly ignored. Tuki and Tuilagi, Jake, a couple of the outside backs...they would have all come in this week absolutely busting their guts to show they can handle first grade / getting their shot.

But, not us...wheel out the same pack who got smashed two weeks straight and the same backs who barely even bothered throwing their arms out, let alone putting their bodies on the line.

this flog and any other with the same attitude within the squad need to be punted out asap.

Who is left to pick from? I would love to see Nofa gone, but we don’t have much depth in the backs and we are still in the hunt for a semi birth?

2021. The year that broke supporters and also certain WTF guidelines - disguised and undisguised swearing is now permitted on the WTF. Yay!!!
Have been tempted for years to start a poll to call a veto for the allowance of certain Bobby Baratheon quotes on here. Well done sir ?

Had to laugh at that. If it's not accountability, then it's definitely pride and prrofessionalism.

I've defended Mbye on here but i'm totally done with him.

A couple of things:
Some of the names put up from Reggies as replacements, makes me think some people on here haven't watched a game. Tuki, Tuilagi, Jake and Cini are miles away from First Grade.
Secondly people on here referring to our players as "flogs" is a bit rich. Yes they get paid well and sometimes it doesn't work out. The only two that might fit the description were Moses and Teo. Mbye is not.
If you cant get your minds around the absurd money he is on, then blame the dope who signed him up!

I said yesterday in the team thread, he should have been dropped, Madge is all bark and no bite, and we are reaping the rewards now
