McIlwrick charged for dangerous throw

Wests Tigers hooker Matt McIlwrick has been cited for a grade one dangerous throw by the NRL match review committee during his side's loss to the Panthers in Round 22.

‌McIlwrick was charged for an incident involving Peter Wallace in the 67th minute of Penrith's victory, but the No.9 will escape suspension with an early guilty plea.

There were no other charges from the Wests Tigers-Panthers clash or the Sea Eagles-Roosters match on Sunday afternoon.

What a load of BS, hardly lifted the bloke and Woods was already holding down Wallace on the front end which made the tackle go past horizontal.

What an atrocious performance from him yesterday. A season's a long time for a fringe player. I'm even thinking of moving ET to hooker for periods seeing our pack is now stronger defensively. JLJ is useless, and on form ET at hooker wouldn't be any worse than mcilwrick.

Maybe Jeremy Marshall King deserves a shot

On the injured list still I think.

Marshall-King has been back last 2 games in ISP…More to do with 2nd tier cap and the number of players we have used already..

It's a shame as Marshall-King has been one of the better performers for 2 years...

He's free to play this weekend.

I was a big fan initially, but service is getting worse and worse. We really need liddle to have a big off season and play 80 next year.

He had a bad game, but majority of his performance this year have been pretty solid.

That tackles wasn't the worst I've seen, but he did lift and it was a dumb play especially given where on the field he committed it and the tackle count.
