I think that a player that is a bit too small to be a 2nd rower and a bit too slow to be a centre but can cover both is a great asset on the bench in the current game. They can even be played at lock as a support player rather than a bettering ram if a middle forward needs a break.
MCK and Lawrence fit the description but have both been poor this year.

The smiling after full time doesn't worry me....missing crucial tackles is not ok. He's a fringe player no big loss if he goes to the dogs as mooted

If you are smiling and joking with the other team after a loss it looks like you don't care. The absolute competitors are busy thinking what they could have done better.
