McQueen confident he can revive career

I hope he can. Would be great to have another option in the back row. He’d effectively be like another new signing as you can’t count his contribution from last year.

Wish Steve all the best but its not sounding that great, i appreciate his honesty though and i can imagine it must be frustrating.

As for the Brooks little bit about him and Ivan not being on the same page. Id like to probe into that a bit more.
Its funny how these things never get said at the time but once a coach is gone we hear about it.

That’s a reference to McQeen and Cleary not being on the same page, not Brooks and Cleary. The copy and paste has a link to another article on brooks embedded in the text which probably threw you off.

You're right thanks, i just re-read it and yeah i read wrong.
Just a little speed reading accident we all have from time to time.

Cheers

A firing Chris M would be a real boon for the Tigers.

I saw the game. I'm not an expert but he did have a real 'go'. The desire is obviously still there, and he seems a smart player ( he did a lot of stuff off the ball as well as some spirited runs), but I wouldn't say he 'fired'. He played 60 minutes of the 80\. And while he had a fair few runs he got dominated physically a few times. But it was a trial

He is on more money than what he will get elsewhere so he stays. I suppose every club has a player or two in a situation like this but it was just poor recruitment. It's not his fault.

I think you’re being a little harsh. I was at the game as well. He was good. Strong in defense and very busy in attack. I know it was only ISP but you can only play what’s in front of you.
Though I am thinking as I type this that maybe him getting in ahead of Lawrence, Matterson, Garner could be a stretch so maybe you’re not being so harsh😜. How’s that for a decisive post!!
Also - I thought Mikaele had a great game.

Exactly right Earl ..people asking for McQueen to leave are being ridiculous

People go to work injured everyday or not 100 %

Should we all resign our jobs

I agree. He was really busy and seemed above ISP standard. I really hope he goes good, cos the desire was there yesterday. I worry it might take more than desire

Thanks Steve for the Mikaele update.

I've been convinced for some time this kid is as good as some of those pampered young Broncos forwards, he certainly was as a junior.

I just hope he is given every encouragement and opportunity by the coaching staff.

The way he ran yesterday, compared to what we have produced recently, suggests he will be on top 17 soon. Suppose he has to produce it consistently though.

Part of the reason Lawrence was not made captain I’d say, Madge knows McQueens ability first hand, Rowdy May be bench/ isp
