Melbourne Cup 2020

Who’s going to win?

Here’s my tuppence worth: 1, 4, 5, 9 and 23. (as if I would know, but what the heck!!)

I haven’t had enough time to significantly wade through the foreign form so I’ll stick to a local. Either Russian Camelot or Verry Elegant.

Miami Bound probably not but it is a strange race.

If you had a betfair account and you were laying a horse e.g. backing one not to win then Very Elegant would be my pick, I dont think it can run 3200m down a hill to be honest.

I have a horse with the trainer of Sir Dragonet Ciahron Maher and we were talking about the caulfield cup a. it was very wet which helped and b Anthony vandyke in his opinion had not reached peak fitness e.g. needed the run a bit.

In regards to Finche I know one of the owners he already has owned a champion in Black Caviar so doing alright, Waller has a big opinion of it and the prep has been pretty good they seem pretty keen on that too.

I agree and there’s been money for him (in from 26 to 18 overnight).

AVD hard to beat. Ashrun will be in it for a long way if he manages to get over from 24.

Thank you ?

Hardest race to pick of the year easily. So many horses in form

Anthony Van Dyck has good form beating one of the best stayers in the world (Stradivarius)

Very Ellegant beat it last start but over a shorter distance. AVD looked like it had more scope

Tiger moth also up there but I’ll be going with AVD

Ive come around to Surprise Baby being a massive chance.

Russian Camelot the next best then the 5, 21, 1 and 7.

Small each way bet on Warning at very big odds.
